In no particular order:
1. Penn State is hit with a nightmare of a scandal as Joe Paterno is fired and dies after Jerry Sandusky is discovered using Penn State for years to sleep with underage boys. And the university covered it up.
2. Miami is busted with a convicted ponzi-scheme artist giving numerous benefits to over 100 players.
3. Cam Newton is slandered all over the media for a pay-for-play scandal that had zero evidence to prove that it was true. Message board innuendo and rumors basically fueled this and nearly tarnished the reputation of an actually upstanding young man who came back from adversity to be what many think is the greatest college football player of all time.
4. Bobby Petrino, a highly successful SEC football coach, crashes his motorcycle and nearly dies. No one has sympathy for his injuries though because he's busted having an affair with a girl that he hired to work in the Arkansas athletic department. He's subsequently fired and leaves football for a year.
5. Auburn wins the BCSCG and two years later looks like it may be in danger of being the worst or second worst team in the West as Ole Miss and Texas A&M have quality coaches and are acquiring all-star players.
6. Manti Te'o is lauded for his ability to fight through adversity after his grandmother and girlfriend die on the same day. He goes on to use his personal issues to produce an almost successful Heisman campaign. However, it comes to light that his girlfriend never existed, and he may have made the whole thing up.
My prediction for 2013 or 2014 - A coach is busted for having a relationship with a player.
