The class seems to be falling apart. I suspected to lose quite a few because of the change but this is getting ridiculous. I don't understand why we can't get coaches pronto. I'm sure that that in the HC interview process this was covered. It would seem to me that keeping a few of the current staff would help stop the bleeding.

I said in the other thread that trooper and luper were hired in January.  No need to panic yet.

Exactly, Auburn didn't start hiring the previous staff until the end of Dec. and it took Coach Chizik 15 days to start hiring.

I'd say that Coach Malzahn is moving just as fast as his HUNH Offense, especially after letting everyone go including the waterboy.

This is a good point. It's just disappointing to see the best defensive class we've had since they've started ranking classes disappear so quickly. It was likely going to be the highest rated defensive class in the nation. We didn't have that kind of class at stake when Chiz took over.

Bring on Tracy Rocker, he'll keep Lawson on and hopefully be able to keep Liner from jumping to uat...keep those two? Then, we'd be able to bring Foster back in, maybe Trey Johnson too.

The only thing I can think is because the NFL season is still going...guessing he doesn't want to leave before it's officially over for the Titans, atleast that's what I'm hoping anyway.

I was just reading his twitter account.  Went back to when Chizik was let go but no mention of decommit. Said he got visits from Ole Miss, Arky and Vandy. As of 12-15, he said he was back to running full speed.

Our local morning sports talk host has someone on every week from AU, Troy and Bama to talk about wazzup at that particular time.  Got in on it late a bit ago so I'm not sure who it was from AU Undercover. (Justin Somebodyorother?  I don't know who writes there besides PM)  Anywho, he was talking about recruiting and a few tidbits from what he said.

He was at the AL/Miss All Star week and game and said Kamryn Melton was easily the best cover corner on the field.  Had a great All Star game. Look for immediate playing time.

Said even though Lawson will definitely take additional visits, all indications are he is solid to AU.

Liner, the biggest unknown.  Said he doesn't like to talk about his recruitment that much. But nothing to indicate he'll flip to anyone else.

Foster.  He said he feels good about Foster but he probably won't make a decision until just before signing day.  He said Foster had met several times with Malzahn and Ellis since his public decommit and before the dead period.

He was really pumped about Cameron Newton Artimus Pyle. Sounded like he looked for him to be the man next year because he is a much better runner between the tackles than Mason and faster. 

That was all I caught of the interview but it sounded a little more encouraging to me with what I heard.
