Texas Needs A New Border Fence

About 100,000 more people moved away from California in 2011 than relocated to the Golden State, according to the latest report from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The trend can be explained, in part, in monetary terms. Even in an economic boom, the cost of living in California has increased, prompting people to move out, and, in recent years, unemployment in the state has skyrocketed.

So, where are these former Californians going?

The Census Bureau calculates that the most popular destination is Texas (58,992), a state that is luring California companies. That’s followed by Arizona (49,635), Nevada (40,114), Washington (38,421) and Oregon (34,214).

And I hope you're right. I do think it's more inclined to happen there than the rest of the deep south (Georgia excluded) simply because of the big cities and the growing minority and implant (from cali and ny) population. Remember California was in this same boat too half a century back. Now look at them. Seriously, I hope you're right. Would be a shame if those idiots from california took over.

Got to thinking a little more about this, I think (hope) that the people moving here are the ones who are looking to work and understand what that means. The ones who are on the state tit for free rides are gonna stay out there (and I hope they do). There aren’t many free rides here. (Not keen ones anyway)

And I'm basing a lot of what I was saying to WE on some articles and trends I've read about lately. One good one was written by Rove (native Texan). It's more real and likely than people think. One way a lot of these types turn a big state over politically is to infiltrate the biggest or most popular college in said state. At the least, the state college and/or the capitol of the state. This is how the California thing happened with Sacramento/Berkely. A lot of the GOP are worried Texas could turn politically in the next 3-4 election cycles simply due to increasing immigration and much of the new population being people who aren't even natives. Georgia has turned SOME the last decade, not so much in political preferences but in the laws and regulations. I go back and forth numerous times a week between ga and al the difference in the amount of regulations, total tax liability, real estate, etc is mind boggling. And mostly because of Atlanta.

I think to a certain extent it isn't going to matter what state-As stated right after the election there were more takers than makers. (and they are reproducing very fast).

I told my dad (he is 80) this a while back ago and believe it very firmly. Not in his lifetime but I think in mine this country will suffer something very cataclysmic. Whether it be economic, race, or something else.

think twice about it not happening.  surely, rural texas may not but the big cities will.  look at what happened to oregon in the 70's and 80's.

The one thing Texas has going for it is the vast size of the state.  Yes, Houston proper is liberal as all get out - but the burbs and East and West Texas are red as Santa's hat.   There is no way some pinko commie is gonna get a pinko education from UTexas and move back out to Midland or Pecos or Laredo and convince the oilfield trash and the ranchers of the rightness of his position on share the wealth. As long as the folks in small towns and the suburbs keep their conservative opinions, the state won't be a total loss. 

The libs tend to congregate in tight spots - so Houston and Dallas and Austin can't get any bluer - but they just pile on top of one another, because they aren't welcome anywhere else.  They usually are invited to take their commie propaganda and hit the Greyhound station - in fact, that same article I quoted said that Texas send more people BACK to California than any other state.  Just not as many as we take in, unfortunately.

Just never got the taste for it, I think I was the only guy in military that didn't drink butt loads of coffee and smoke. It never ceased to amase me after coming off a 5 to 10 miles run and the first thing you see guys do is light up and grap a big ole cup up coffee.
