Agreed one of those mentioned above but that has nothing to do with the here and the now. His failure has been well documented as it pertains to Auburn specifically, after a MNC. There is no reason to believe this man will continue to follow the same approach that led to his demise. Again, I could be wrong but I seriously doubt it.
The reason he is in the situation that he is in now is because he followed the same approach that didn't work at ISU. The guy just isn't a good head coach. Nothing wrong with that, and no reason to beat the guy down about it. It just is what it is. Whether you like it or not, nearly everything positive that came from 2010 has been overshadowed by the results of 2011 and 2012. 2010 has merely become the punchline when describing how fast and hard AU has fallen the past two seasons.
No worth a shit program is going to hire him as a HC and say "Well, he was able to win them a MNC, but he was shitty any other year. Sounds good!" How do you sell your fanbase on the notion that the guy is going to turn your program around?
