Protection clauses. Simple as that.

We are in a position of leverage to put protection clauses in that would otherwise seem unreasonable.

Is Jacobs smart enough to actually use that leverage?

Wish I could say for certain.

I think that's a given as far as protection clauses etc. What I think AUTG was talking about is what if we hire this guy and anti-AU media types and message board Blue Fin Tuna Wooly Shit types start digging (And you know they will immediately if they haven't already) and more shit comes out making it too embarrassing and impossible to keep the guy, ie Mike Price.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

I don't know if Jacobs is smart enough not to piss on his own shoe.
It disappoints me to find out that there is a correlation between intellect and pissing on your own shoes. Hurts, actually.

I thought it had more to do with cold weather, short peckers, and being drunk.

You meet a man on the Oregon Trail. He tells you his name is Terry. You laugh and tell him: "That's a girl's name!" Terry shoots you. You have died of dissin' Terry.

Well, I see your point but I have that trouble and have a really large pecker. But I still piss on my shoes. Not on purpose but it just happens. Even to big dicked people.

And?

What's the difference in that happening, and something new happening?

Write it in such a way that anything that embarrasses the University is a fireable offense. Again, we have the leverage to do that.

If it happens in the middle of the year next year, send him packing and pick up a coach in what would hopefully be a better year on the coaching carousel than what we're looking at today.

I don't like Petrino but I bet if we were to look at the resumes and primarily the statistics of the list of candidates, without names and pics attached--he'd be the guy most would pick. I think he's likely our HC and I'm excited to see what he will do. I just had others higher up on my list but they apparently forgot to call me.

Yep.

Old news is old news.  Unless he was running lady-boy hookers through Bangkok, we all know about Petrino's transgressions.

Leverage that for a reduced salary, a tight "morals" and "non-compete" and let the dude start ripping shit up.

Petrino is the best coach available...and at a bargain to boot.  If you don't hire him, you're a functional retard.

The only coach that I would want at Auburn more than BMFP is the Hornfrogger coach. That isn't happening. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

All these non-Christians around here all the sudden acting religious.

Or hot weather, plaid shorts, dead birds and being drunk.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

One of the greatest lines ever:

Wife and husband are arguing and husband says, Fine I’ll just leave, I’ll go find me some new pussy.

Wife says you if had three more inches of dick you would find some new pussy here.   $1.00 to RP

This is what I keep telling folks that do not like Petrino. They say I just don't like him. I say me neither. Who else you got? The silence is deafening. They throw out a few pie in the sky names, but end the end, you are only left with the ones that are truly available. And out of those, BP is the one with the best resume.

We could always just promote Loeffler. I mean he was an up and coming OC the season before......

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
