Arkansas makes offer for 5.5 million per year to Les Miles.

I think Les wants more money from LSU, so he's having his agent use the Sexton/Tuberville trick that they would do every year around this time.

It's a game of chicken for sure.  Some of the big name alum donors - my friends the Baton Rouge doctors, to name two - hate his guts and want him to GTFO.  He's all "oh yeah?  Well, bring it on, big boy. Who you gonna replace me with, money man?"

My money is on Les getting everything he wants.

But if he were seriously considering it?  Auburn needs to offer 5yr/$30M. I'd take the Hatter in a New York Minute.

The only difference I see here is it sounds like (If the reports are true, and they seem to be) Arky really did make a big time play for the Hat.  With Tubby, it always seemed to be rumors of him to Arkansas, Miami, A&M etc. with little concrete to back it up.

It was an offer with no meat.  Out of the blue Arky is going to throw the bank at Lester?  Not fucking likely.  It was a "hey, whatcha think about this, Les?" offer.  He and Long go back like car-seats.
