Y'all are lettting the whole "Saban is king" shit blind you to the truth of what he is saying.

It would take a strong coach who is given total control and a shitload of money to come in and fix our problems.

What in Auburn's recent history says to you that the AUPTB will manage ANY ONE of those three in this hire?

JJ is still the AD.  So much for a strong coach.  JJ's whole goal is a coach he can manipulate.

The PTB cannot stay the fuck out of the AD. So much for total control

We have never thrown money at ANYTHING before (until Chiz's ridiculous buyout).  So much for breaking the bank for our Moses.  We mocked the Turds for mortgaging the Bahr statue to pay for the little sawed off fuckstick - but it paid off.  We won't do that.  That's why BMFP is even in the picture - the PTB think they can get him dirt cheap since he is damged goods.  He has an "As Is Where Is" sticker on him - so take another 30% off!!

Having Bo and SUlly on that "search committee" is nothing more than a cheap and transparent attempt to appease the loyal orange and blue sunshine pumper fans - which I am not.  "Oh, well, Bo and Sully agreed to hire him so it must be ok!!  Yuck yuck... READ THE CREED!!!"  Quite frankly, that is a huge insult to me and should be to you all too.  Bo will never be present in the first interview.  Sully is playing golf.  They wn't even be at the presser announcing the idiot that takes this job.

So yeah, Doyal goes a bit over the top - but he is spot on.  Like someone else said - fuck him for being right.

And that is why BP is the guy for the job. He might be the only one with enough coaching talent that might take the job. We have to look at our situation and see that we are not in the catbird sat on this one!

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Yeah - but not being in the catbird seat has never stopped our PTB from fucking us over before now... They are all delusional power hungry megalomaniacs.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Fuck this defeatist bullshit.

Chizik proved that you can go head to head in recruiting against Saban. All it will take is someone that is willing to put in the effort to recruit and then not be a fucking moron when it comes to coaching. Saban is a great recruiter, but he is not unbeatable as a coach. He only has one undefeated season as a coach and 2 of the 3 national titles he has one he has backed into. If they win another one this year, it will be 3.

So fuck all this bullshit. I want a coach that wants to come in and compete with the best. Auburn is a great place to bring your family, has great resources and athletic support, and should be able to go head to head with Alabama.

Fuck any coach that is to chicken shit...

I'm not quite where you and THS are, but close.  The NCAA cloud is a real concern.  The rest of it, total fucking bullshit.  Saban didn't get Chiz fired, Chiz having his head up his ass with discipline did.  No Auburn fan would be pissed if Chiz had won 8-9 this year and lost to Bama in a remotely competitive game.  I'm fucking sick of hearing how Saban gets coaches fired.  Ludicrous.  But typical bammer shit.

The NCAA thing aside, ANY coach even considering another job, would love to come to Auburn for all the reasons listed...money, facilities, players, and the ability to compete at the highest level of D1 football.  Any coach that doesn't want that (and there are some good coaches that don't have THAT drive) are not wanted at Auburn.   There are guys out there that would jump at the opportunity to compete with, and overtake Saban, and some that think they can or would have a chance.  Saban isn't the only egotistical asshole guy that can coach on the face of the planet.

The NCAA cloud is a real concern.
Meh...only if it were proven that the faculty person was coerced or rewarded in some way by Auburn or one of its coaches.  To me that article that came out the other day was a fucking rehash of what we already knew.

BTW Trooper is still recruiting for us (even after being relieved). So if there were any worries for concern, I would think Jacobs would tell him to stop. I truthfully believe if we get hit with anything it will be minor stuff.

I say concern from the standpoint of maybe scaring off coaches.  If the compliance dept. can show any potential coach there's no fear of sanctions, then it's meh.   Also, if we're just talking about Jovon, then since he Auburn held him out of practice, and he never played, it's probably not going to amount to much regardless.

I get what he is saying.  We have never had to make a hire when our rival is on top of their game like they are.  This is going to be a very important hire.  We fuck this one up and we are in a bad place for a while, especially with them cherry picking who they want in recruiting for the most part.  We hire a retard and they will get who they want instate for a while. We hire a retard and then it will be at least another 3 years minimum for us to hire the guy to right the ship.  I also agree with it being bad timing.  It's never good to try and hire a coach when another team in your division is hiring at the same time and when one of the more tradition rich teams in your conference is hiring at the same time.  Why another coach would want to go to either one of those two schools over Auburn is beyond me, but I bet their AD can make a better sell than ours.

Did he have to suck Saban's cock like he did?  No.  Is Saban invincible? No.  Is Saban one of the best in the country and has a dominate team?  Yes.

So, Trooper Taylor is our new head coach?
No...but you have to give the guy props for continuing to recruit for us.

Makes him smarter then I gave him credit for.

(A. New AU HC)
Trooper Thinking
"I can hold this class together and prove to the new guy that I am worth keeping"

(B. Job Somewhere Else)
Trooper Thinking
"Look I was the only one trying to keep this Auburn Class together, these guys know me they trust me, I think I can bring them to ______________school"

(C. New HC Has already been Hired)
and Trooper already knows he is being retained.  (this one is a stretch but a possibility I suppose)

but either A or B makes it a smart move by him, IMO.

This is Nick Saban's fault, of course. He has that thing rolling at Alabama. Two national titles in three years, with a shot at a third title in four years? That's absurd.

Wonder if Doyell knows who took home that 3rd trophy while Saban was busy dominating the entire southeast

Is shrimp dick a damn good coach? Without a doubt. However, fuck that noise. That fucking midget is 6-5 alltime against Auburn and this year is the first time he has ever had a winning record against Auburn. I like Doyell but that motherfucker smoked way to much crack rock this morning and must have got Auburn confused with Arkansas. Now if he wanted to say Mark Richt owns our ass I'd have to agree  But as far as the shrimp dick across the state goes, fuck that shit.

Look out boys UAT has won 3 count'em 3 SECC since division play began 20+ years ago. There fucking unstoppable  :taunt:

Yeah pretty much.
Agreed. I think Doyle has given us fair shakes in the past. I don't disagree with this. Sabear is the best in the business. We just need someone  crazy or brash enough to go for it. He doesn't mention AD problem, as THS pointed out but I think most strong HC candidates are fully aware of the numerous political messes we've had as a result of meddling. It's been national freaking news on many occasion. When you add in that they know the same puppet is in place that has been a part of the problems, it means it's harder for us to get the top notch guy, IMO. Unless, we go the Mal Moore approach and give him the keys to the kingdom.
