Auburn hoops thread

Nice posterizing slam. AU wins 81-62. Freshman Jordan Price has now hit 11 straight 3's dating back a couple of games. NCAA record is 15 straight. One thing we've definitely been missing for years is a true outside threat. Looks like we may finally have one.

Note: Barbee pulled him after a 3 and Price trash talked the T. Tech bench. Tech had been jawing and Price gave it back to em'. Barbee told his ass to grow up. His quotes in the paper sounded like he got the message. Tigers now 5-5.

And things get back to normal as the Tigers lose to mighty Winthrop. Next game on the 29th against 10th ranked Illinois in Chicago. Oh joy and rapture. Basketball is horrible in this State. Bammus lost to Mercer College this past weekend. And it wasn't that close.

Barbee's Barbie's lose another one to drop to 5-7. 2 point loss to Illinois on the road. FSU tomorrow.

The good news is the SEC is full of miserable suckage so we may actually win one more game than our foosballz team did this year.

Watched the entire Illinois game. The guys played hard and you could just tell they were outmatched. Was proud of the players for playing hard til the end.

Good win for the Tiggers last night over FSU. Down 11 with 2:00 to go, FSU decided to foul immediately each and every time. AU shot well over 20 foul shots (Not very well) during that stretch. Good win but bad news for AU as Chris Denson was scratched in pregame warm-ups for a stress fracture in his foot. No telling how long he might be out. Same injury as Jordan Price from last week. Price was the one nailing all the 3's. Here's to getting these guys back quickly.

I hate that too. Feels like the first time they are actually trying to turn the corner. What fucking bad luck.

57-49 loss to a team with an 8-11 record. Denson and Price are back. No excuses.

What the hell is wrong with Auburn basketball? Is it just jinxed? Destined to be the annual laughing stock of a piss poor league? This team is 8-12 now and 2-5 in the SEC after starting 2-0. Basketball is a game where you can turn a team around with one good recruiting class. A couple of stud players on the floor and some decent coaching and you can be competitive in any league. I turned it on last night with Auburn down 32-31. I watched 3 missed shots by Auburn, including a gimme layup by Denson. They showed a graphic that it was now 9 shots in a row missed by Auburn. I turned it off.

49 points. Another loss.
