John Gruden unless Sean Peyton turns down the job. Bob stoops has agreed to leave Okl but we turned him down since he can't win the big game. Jim Tressell will be brought in as defensive coordinator and Pete Carrol is leaving Seattle to become our offensive coordinator. Keep this here.....

Yup, it's usually ”pie in the sky” type wish list...which turns out to be a ”pie in the face” hire.

When was the last ”Homerun/Splash” type football Head Coaching hire at Auburn?

Well, there's only been 6 hires at Auburn in the last 61 years.  I don't recall "home run hire" being in the lexicon until the last few years, when people are much more concerned with winning the press conference than getting the right guy. 

When LSU hired Saban, it wasn't a home run hire.

Word is Butch Davis was their first choice. Not sure where I read it but...
