AUBURN, Alabama –Quarterback Clint Moseley will make his second start of the season at Vanderbilt on Saturday, getting the assignment over Kiehl Frazier who is still nursing an injury that affects his throwing. Coach Gene Chizik announced his starter during his Tiger Talk radio show Thursday night.
"Clint had a very good week of practice," Chizik said. "Kiehl has a little bit of a nagging injury. He's going to have to push and work through it. That's the bottom line." Chizik said he told Moseley and Frazier of his decision Thursday. Moseley started at Ole Miss last week, stepping in for Frazier who started the first five games. Moseley hit 11-of-18 passes for 112 yards with an interception. Frazier didn't play.
For the season, Frazier has hit 56-of-103 passes for 664 yards with eight interceptions and two touchdown passes. Moseley, who missed the first four games with a sore shoulder, has hit 24-of-39 passes for 275 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.
Auburn, 1-5, plays Vanderbilt, 2-4, at 11:21 a.m. on the SEC Network.
