A couple of things about this piece.  I noticed that Porsche was inexplicably absent much of the game Saturday.  Calling running plays out of a 1-back set with an All-American fullback on the bench just doesn't sit well with me. Smash-mouth?  Streeeeetch-mouth.  Also, what exactly do you need to cut from this offense?  We only have 3 running plays and 4 bad pass plays.  And to pile on....when your line isn't blocking a gawtdamn soul, you might want to make at least ONE attempt to use your All-World tight end...occasionally.  Sorry, a little cynical right now about our O.  copypasta al.com

AUBURN, Alabama -- Fullback Jay Prosch was handed the first carry of his Auburn career on Saturday.  Prosch barreled his way for three yards up the middle, a role that could be expanded in the future.  "We’re starting to open up a little bit where we can get him the ball some, which I think is good," head coach Gene Chizik said. "He’s a very powerful runner."

Prosch's playing time has been spotty. On Saturday, Prosch was used mainly as an H-back. The Tigers also deployed several single-back sets that kept Prosch on the sidelines.  Keeping Prosch in the game is a priority for Auburn. "Jay being on the field is something that we have to do more, not just from his leadership standpoint and the respect that he has from all the players, but the value that he brings for us out there in terms of physicality," Chizik said.

** Quan Bray will not automatically resume his roles as a slot receiver and punt returner. "We’re going to see where he fits," Chizik said. "He’s going to have to work his way back into whatever role he gets for Saturday.”

** Both Dee Ford and Chris Davis are battling injuries. Ford said he expected to play Sunday night. "Injury-wise right now I think both of those guys are a little beat up, but again we’ll know more with those guys as the week goes on,” Chizik said.

** Auburn may cut down on the size of its offensive game plan this week. "I think we might have been doing a little bit too much," Chizik said. "Let’s go into the game and execute the plan to the best of our ability after looking at things and trying to maybe cut it down a little bit."

** Chizik had high praise for the Ole Miss hurry-up scheme. "I know Hugh Freeze has done a really, really good job wherever he’s been with the offense and with the scheme that he’s got and with the production that he’s had," Chizik said. "You can really see them growing in confidence."

So coach didn't realize this prior to the games we've lost?

Seems like something a good head coach would do.  You know, analyze the team and be prepared for the games before they happen.

Since when does "opening it up" on offense involve the fullback dive play for a pro-style offense? This ain't Navy or Georgia Tech.

And who are we starting at QB? Has that been decided or are they both working with the 1s?

We're starting to open it up...but...we're going to cut down on the size of the offensive game plan.

But what we have left once we cut it down...we're really going to open that up.

It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Starting QB Still Up For Grabs

Quote
AUBURN — The starting quarterback position is still open for the taking at Auburn as Kiehl Frazier and Clint Moseley each vie for the role in Saturday’s game with Ole Miss.

“We’ll go through it, and we’ll look at it starting (today),” Auburn coach Gene Chizik said Tuesday morning. “We’ll make a decision later in the week.”

On the QB, I'm hoping they go with Frazzers.  I'm well aware how bad he's been but I honestly believe he can improve with more game experience.  Other than holding on to the ball too long Saturday and taking a couple of unnecessary sacks, he didn't play badly.  His numbers were decent.  I'm really looking at the big picture in that no how, no way is Clint Moseley our future at QB.  I'd like to see Fraysher improve to the point of being serviceable, whatever that means, by year's end.  We go into next season with a QB who has a full season under his belt and hope that Johnson turns out to be as-advertised and we can work him in during the season.

On top of everything else, I don't want to spend the next game playing musical quarterbacks with Moseley and Kalil.

I don't know this could be hard for the defense to scheme- One who did not play worth a shit last year against one who has not played worth a shit this year.

Regardless of what Pat Dye says I still think Wallace is our man on the bench who doesn't belong there. He's natural and they are wasting valuable game experience with Kyle who hasn't shown me much at all. Kyle has a good arm, but I never know who will end up with the ball, us or them.

What's so great about Wallace?  He never got his picture on bubblegum cards, did he? Have you ever seen his picture on a bubblegum card? Hmmm? How can you say someone is great who's never had his picture on bubblegum cards?
