Strangly, I don't.

Auburn's Gene Chizik apologizes: 'The Auburn fans and family didn't deserve this today'

By Charles Goldberg | cgoldberg@al.com
on October 06, 2012 at 3:26 PM, updated October 06, 2012 at 3:59 PM

AUBURN, Alabama – Gene Chizik couldn't and didn't sugarcoat his team's loss to Arkansas on Saturday.

The Auburn coach apologized to fans after the Razorbacks beat his Tigers 24-7 in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn fell to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the SEC, its worst start in the league since 1998.

"The Auburn fans and family didn't deserve this today. I apologize," Chizik said.

"We understand where we're at. We've won one game. What I saw out there today was very disappointing versus the quality of our practice and the game. That's on us."

Also:

"It was a completely unacceptable offensive performance all the way around."

And:

"I didn't see the fans leave, but I don't blame them."

Arkansas came in with the worst defense in the SEC, but Auburn struggled the whole way. The Tigers were sacked eight times and had five turnovers.

"It was a completely unacceptable offensive performance," Chizik said.

Chizik said he was disappointed, especially since the Tigers had two weeks to prepare for the game.

"All around, it was a team loss. We're going to go back and work. We're going to try to figure out how to fix it," Chizik said.

Chizik said he changed quarterbacks – Clint Moseley for Kiehl Frazier at half – in an effort to find a spark. Offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler said the coaches would determine next week's starter later, perhaps Sunday.

"I'm not going to blame everything on the quarterback," Chizik said. "We're going to go back and re-evaluate a lot of things.

The changes need to be made on the OL. With the way we've been blocking, we could have Cam back there and still be looking at a losing record through 5 games...Absolutely horrible.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST DUDE.

I watched Florida and LSU. Not once did I see either quarterback look like a spastic ostrich with a perforated colon.

Did you see Clints shit eating ass cringe?  Literally CRINGE when a guy was about 10 yards away?  He tucked and wobbled.  That's not OL.  That's utterly shitty, cowardly, pussified quarterbacking.

We have other problems.  But there is not a single leader on that team. Nobody with balls or confidence.

Shittiest performance I've seen.  Just when I think the worst cant be topped? It is.

This is WORSE than the Barfield era.  I'd take Doug back right now.

God help us.

I'd take Terry Bowden back today.  I assure you, with these players, he'd have an offense that could score.  4 years from now?  We'd be fucked.

I agree, it's not just the OL. But when you have the RT Oleing the DE straight into the QB more than once in the past two games and you have a RG that literally turns his back on a blitzing LBer, you have a problem. I'm not sure if it's a communication problem during the game or do they even practice against a scout team.

If the Offense wouldn't have channeled their MSU gameplan, regarding the stupid penalties & turnovers, also throw in EIGHT SACKS...basically if Auburn would've brought the Offense that played against Clemson, ULM or LSU they walk away with a W.

The Defense? Getting slightly better (Did you see the MLB stop the out pass dead in its tracks? That was Senior MLB #56 Ashton Richardson making that play).
The Offense? Horribly sporadic.

All stems from coaching.  Game 5 of the season after a buy week, these mistakes should not be being made after week 2.  There are not signs of improvement. We have a few good plays mixed in with shit playing on both sides of the ball.  It's bad, very bad.  This season will be full of fail.

Still no substance from you.

Let this sink in, whenever you have 5 turnovers and give up 8 sacks and go 3&out 5-6 times in a row, you aren't going to beat many D 1-AA teams or some 6A High School teams.

Also, if Coach Chizik wanted to ”add a spark” he should've brought in Jonathan Wallace not a QB that crumbles at the sight of pressure...especially when pressure was coming on nearly every passing play.

Wallace = Spark
Moseley = Dud

Thinking out loud here, maybe Coach Grimes isn't the type of coach that we thought he was, maybe he isn't able to coach a pro style offense that calls for different blocking schemes than the Spread offense that he's used to. (think back to the Hugh Nall-Pro Style/Tony Franklin debacle)

I just watched the game again. I was more impressed with Moseley than I have been with KF all season. If to are going to pass the ball, at least get the passer ready to play. The interceptions were a product of sitting on the sidelines all year. But for the most part, he delivered the ball well. I did not see a guy that folded. I saw a less mobile QB. But I'm so tired of KF looking totally lost. It a sad predicament that an average backup looked more comfortable than the next coming of Kodi Burns!

I saw more catches from Reed and Blake in one half than I have seen all season.

So I would not call Moseley a dud. He is what we know he is.

I would have liked to have seen Wallace throw a few.

We were still in it till the 4th.

Just a sad day for AU football and I can't even begin to point out any less than 20 things that need fixing.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Sad. Sad. Sad.
Yeah, the dud part was due to him being a ”spark”. Also, I agree if you're going to throw the ball more then put in the QB that can do that. But, WHY THE FUCK AREN'T WE TRYING TO USE JAY PROSCH MORE!?!?!?! It's like we over think the playcalling.  Also, when using Frazier, WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T WE TRY TO ROLL THE DAMN POCKET?!?!?! (Told y'all I'd be pissed if I didn't see more than a couple roll out passes)

Loeffler ain't getting it done, let him concentrate on the QB position and have someone else coordinate the Offense (like Coach Luper)
