I don't like Moore and wouldn't vote for him 9 times out of 10. I don't mind his faith being a part of his life, I don't mind his Christianity. Not at all. What I do mind is being blatant, in your face with it. If he were an Atheist I would have the same feelings. It wouldn't bother me at all until he is blatant, in your face with it.
I don't mind a politician having Christian faith or not believing in God/a god, whatever, what I do mind is when they use their faith or lack there of to pander and promote themselves with it. When sitting on the bench I fully expect a judge to go strictly by the laws that are on the books (nothing more, nothing less) and not legislate from the bench.
