- It was good to see a good SEC football game yesterday. The Florida-Tennessee game was the first normal, hard hitting, on CBS during a picture perfect day, truly southern football game yet. Thank God for the Olive Branch in Mountain Brook having delicious food and an HD TV.
- Why is Geno Smith getting all of the love from that Baylor-West Virginia game? Yes, his stats were better and he can be a Heisman candidate, but not one person has said anything about Baylor's QB throwing for 581 and one of their receivers catching for 314.
- Also, West Virginia had a receiver with 303 yards.
- Towson's going to have a really good football team next. Their fans must have patience though. Those young kids finally got their feet wet against a juggernaut and took them to the wire. Just imagine how good they'll be after winter conditioning.
- I'm not impressed with Alabama at all. I thought there were opportunities for Ole Miss to make it interesting in the 1st half. Of course, it was Ole Miss and they're dumbasses. But one thing you have to do to stay with Alabama is limit stupid mistakes. Alabama kills you on stupid mistakes. Other than that? Alabama runs it up the middle or throws it less than 15 yards down field. Their offense has weapons, but they looked stoppable.
- No team looks like the undisputed #1 team in the country right now.
- Texas-Oklahoma State was a great game...at least the last 7 minutes were that I watched.
- Arkansas may have the worst team the SEC has seen in a long time. It's one thing to get your ass beat when you have little to no talent. Doesn't Arkansas have quite a few guys that could play in the NFL? Including an NFL-caliber QB? Losing 58-10 against Texas A&M?
- This week is a litmus test for Auburn. Forget about winning. We definitely have to win this game at home. But the true litmus test is can we have this game won before the clock strikes 0:00? Or will it be a last second thriller? Last second thriller would be an embarrassment against a putrescent Arkansas program.
