I heard that Keihl got so pissed off at the snide remarks today that he threw a punch at the heckler.

The punch was intercepted.

Hot Corner: Time to bench Kiehl Frazier
By Will Grant -- The Birmingham News

When looking at the Auburn football team's 1-3 start, everyone but the most diehard of fans has to realize that this season has been a disaster. And, it appears things very well could get worse.

But there is a way for Gene Chizik and the Auburn program to salvage this season. Ditch Kiehl Frazier as the starting quarterback and give Jonathan Wallace the keys to the Tigers' offense.

It is obvious to me that Frazier is not going to be able fix his problems in time to turn this year around for the Tigers. Seven interceptions, nine turnovers and just two touchdowns through four games are not the numbers you want to see from your starting quarterback.

And I don't care what any coaches or fans want to say about giving the sophomore time to develop. The team has been more than patient with Frazier. Inexperience or not, it has become glaringly apparent that he's just not capable of running Scot Loeffler's pro-style offense. The Gus Malzahn recruit was not designed for this offense and it shows.

In the LSU game, Auburn's offensive line gave Frazier plenty of time in the pocket to make reads and complete passes. Unfortunately, he was unable to perform those tasks. The quarterback is too focused on a single receiver and tends to hold on to the football way too long.

Go back and watch Auburn's last drive against LSU if you don't believe me. It is an example of poor game management.

Bottom line. There needs to be a change at quarterback. With Wallace's redshirt burned, it is time to see what he can do. Frazier is a lost cause and the Auburn coaching staff needs to realize it.

Auburn needs to look toward the future and that future should rest in Wallace's hands.

So, this guy sees Wallace come in and run a few wildcat plays....just like Frayzha did last year...and he's the future?  He got all that from 3-4 plays Wallace ran?

I'm in no way defending Frazzers.  His numbers and actions on the field speak for themselves.  But, Gene Chizik and Scott Loeffler and all these corches do this for a living.  And especially right now when things are sucking this bad and their very livelihoods depend on playing the best at each position, what does that tell you about what's going on behind Kyles?  Clint Moseley has half a season's starting experience.  While overall, he sucked monkey cock, he did show in a couple of games that he could conduct himself in a non-full-tard manner.  Why has he not set foot on the field?  Hurt?  What is it?

Behind that is Wallace.  True freshman that was known far more for his running than passing in H.S.  Good athlete.  But if he really looked like he could do more gooder than Fraithser, wouldn't the coaches have tried him by now? Maybe by giving him some reps on a huge stage like this past Saturday night, they intend on working him in little by little until they feel good about pulling the plug on Kile.  Don't know.  But right now, he's all we got.

Maybe not bench, but next start he should have a very short leash. And JW & CM should have plenty of reps with the first team these two weeks.

Not worth commenting. Someone take that guy's keyboard away.

I will say this. JW looks a shiton better that frazzle did last season, coming in and running  the ball. he has a lot more quicks and hits the hole faster. If he can complete a few, he can be an added weapon.

I would surmise that as this time his knowledge of the playbook is very limited.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

This is where I am at except for one thing.  We are 1-3. Offense is ranked 113 out of 120.  Passing Offense is 115 /120.  Does it really matter?

I mean not to rehash but think about this. We got two turnovers against LSU that turned into scoring opportunities. Other than that did we ever even sniff their red zone?

I'm not saying he is the answer, but he might be worth leaving in for a series or two.

I would think that too, but Phillip Marshall was talking before the season about how well he grasping the playbook and the coaches were bragging on how well he was doing, he knew the playbook.  Marshall even suggested at one point that he was right in the mix of the QB battle before they announced Fraiser as the starter.   I don't know.  I am with GF though, I would like to see him get a series or two.

Just some other FUN facts.

We are 112 in scoring offense. We avg 17.50 points per game.
We are 113 in passing efficiency with a rating of 102.82
We are tied for #2 in turnovers....lost with 12.

I would tell you where Frazier ranked individually for Passing, Passing Efficiency, and Passing Yards per Game, but the NCAA only keeps individual statistics for the top 100 QBs in the Nation.  Farzier wasn't listed anywhere.

Some QB's that were however.

Most of the time, it's hard to tell AU's offense apart from last year's. Looks like the same damn plays for the most part.

Um, no.  I think this is a bad idea.  Not saying Frazier is good, but we could go from bad to fucking terrible if they were to bench Frazier.

Um, no.  I think this is a bad idea.  Not saying Frazier is good, but we could go from bad to fudgeing terrible if they were to bench Frazier.

Plus after making a mistake (like the INT against ULM) he has shown that he cannot shake it off.  He absolutely fell apart in the 4th quarter against ULM.  Can you imagine what he would be like if we benched him and then had to put him back out there?
