1. Gene Chizik is 31-12 at Auburn, 14-0 when Cam Newton starts and 17-12 when he doesn’t. The 31-28 overtime victory over Louisiana-Monroe, Auburn’s first win of 2012, couldn’t have placated the Tigers much, not with No. 2 LSU next. Chizik's tenure is reviving memories of Mike DuBose, who coached Alabama from 1997-2000. DuBose went 10-3 and won the SEC in 1999, the senior year of tailback Shaun Alexander and Outland Trophy-winning tackle Chris Samuels, and 14-20 otherwise. Chizik isn’t Dubose yet. But Auburn fans who reveled in DuBose’s demise -- and you know they did -- may be feeling a little karma.

I can't disagree but I don't need that fuckstick reminding me. I can figure it out without the media pundits' snide assed "I told you so" remarks.

This isn't the first Dubose comparison I've heard.  But they are in no way alike.  Did Dubose go undefeated?  Hoist a BCS trophy? 

Has Chizik been caught boning his secretary? 

Has Chizik done anything to contribute to Auburn going on probation?  Staring down the barrel of a gun?

What's the purpose of that?  I think everyone is well aware of Chizik's record before Cam, with Cam, post Cam.  We're reminded daily.  Why compare it to Dumbose and pull the karma's a bitch angle.  Yeah, Auburn loses games under Chizik because we enjoyed Alabama sucking under Mike Dubose.  Will Alabama implode because of all the snide comments their fans are making about Chizik?

Ivan should stick to fisting Beano. Seriously, this and the Scarbo "Tubs should come back" piece are the reasons Auburn fans claim conspiracy in the media. There's only so many times you hear about Richard Gere and the gerbal before everyone "knows" it is true. The mouthpieces have never wanted Auburn to succeed and they will do anything to discount it.

So, it makes us (myself included) who are complaining now about the direction of the program look like we are in league with those who constantly keep up this discourse about Auburn's "problems."

Scarbinsky is about as neutral as you're going to find nowadays. He may light one team or the other up from time to time, but he's usually dead on when he does it.
