Dumbass Georgia fans (and ESPN) will try to tell you Hershey was better.  They point to his yardage totals and ignore everything else.  I've tried to explain it numerous times, but if Bo had not shared the backfield with two future NFL running backs (Lionel James and Tommie Agee) and had he carried the ball anywhere near the number of times Hershey did, every rushing record in college football would belong to him.  The reason he doesn't own all the records is that he was a team-first player (gave the MVP award from the 1983 Sugar Bowl to Lionel because he thought Train deserved it more than he did).  Either that or Dye messed up.

He was THE BALL PLAYER.

Not that I needed it, but that video just reaffirmed why I was a proud member of "Club Bo" for three years.  I attribute my initial love for Auburn University to that man, as I never had any family that went to Auburn and when we moved to Alabama in the early Eighties I was forced to pick a side...Lord knows I picked the right one.
