THS's Stream of Consciousness

THS's Stream of Consciousness
« on: September 08, 2012, 04:07:50 PM »
- Yes, I'm pissed.  This one stings.  This isn't "aw shucks we aren't any good!" complaining.  We suck and we suck compared to Mississippi State.

- What the fuck was our identity?  What is our identity on offense?  What is it?  Does anybody know?  Because I don't.  I saw McCallebb run around the end and get blistered multiple times.  We kept trying to run that play and it worked very few times.  Is that our identity?

- Where was Tre Mason?  Oh, he rushed for 100 yards and was our brightest spot against Clemson, so let's make sure we take him out this week and get Blakely carries.  Not that Blakely looked bad.  I just wonder if something happened this week during practice to take so many carries away from Mason.

- I'm off the Chizik train.  I'm done.  He had the one year fluke with a senior laden, Tuberville recruited team led by Superman and Batman and got us our national championship.  He will be forever beloved and treated like a king in Auburn once he is no longer the coach.  But I'm sorry.  This team is last year's team except instead of White Cam and Jew Cam, we have Herp Derp Cam.

- When we fired Tuberville, we were making a statement.  Auburn was not going to settle for mediocrity.  You cannot be the coach at Auburn and settle for subpar recruiting and hope for your teams to meld together every few years and go on a nice three year run.  At Auburn, we would be competing for championships.

- When we hired Chizik, we thought Jay Jacobs let us down.  We'd embrace him as our coach and hope for the best, but I don't think anyone knew Chizik would bring us a championship.  But he did.  And we thought we were high livin'.  However, after last year and this year, something is wrong.

- Last year we got a letter from Jay Jacobs.  The letter said that we should expect to suck and that was okay because Chizik was building for the future.  Did we get a letter this year?  I may have missed it.  Did it say that we should expect to suck worse because Chizik was building for the future?

- Kiehl Frazier is worse than Kodi Burns.  He's worse than Chris Todd. He's worse than Clint Moseley.  At least with Moseley, he'd fall down fast enough to keep the clock moving.  The game would at least end quickly.  Frazier prances around like a retard and throws it directly to the other team.

- We have athletes.  Quan Bray, Emory Blake, Lutz, Blakely, Mason, McCallebb, Prosch - our offense should not be inept.

- The defense is putrid, but it still looks a bit - just a tiny bit - better than last year.  Just a tiny, intsy bit better.  That gives me some hope.  The coverage downfield is awful and we still have tackling problems, but I don't blame the defense for struggling when the offense turns the ball over five times.

- What the fuck did I just say?  Sorry.  I meant, Kiehl Frazier by himself turns the ball over five times.

- Our offense has scored one touchdown, and it was against badly broken coverage.

- I'm changing my "voice of reason" post or whatever the fuck I was saying before.  We aren't a lock to beat anybody except Alabama A&M.  New Mexico State and LA Monroe are division I schools, so I fully expect them to have athletes that can beat us if we have one player turning the ball over FIVE FUCKING TIMES.

- We'll beat LA Monroe and New Mexico State.  But why should I think we can beat Ole Miss and Vandy at their home stadiums?  Besides being an Auburn fan and thinking about the 2010 season, why should anyone believe that we're going to win those games.

- 4-8 is a possibility.

- This is exactly what the Doug Barfield era felt like, isn't it?  It may only be two years old, but Alabama is fucking dominating and we're fucking losing and feeling embarrassed.

- At least we didn't start a brawl at the end of the game.

- This is not like the 2007 season.

- The sky is falling.  War eagle.

- Oh and Jake Holland sucks.  He is literally the worst SEC player I've ever seen.  I would take Kiehl Frazier starting for four more fucking years if it meant finding a legit SEC middle linebacker.  He may not have had the spotlight on him, but the guy is awful.  He's the Frazier of the defense.  Maybe his hair will choke him in the middle of the night.

this ^^^ is what I wanted us to do last year. Play our youth, play KF and get the lumps out of the way last year. But no, we didn't. KF is green as is many of the others. And you can see that.

If you're looking for silver linings traffic here should pick up even more.  The bannings began over at AUEagleFamily.com late in the third quarter.

Apparently noting the obvious -- that this team is clueless, has no identity, is poorly prepared, poorly coached and inept beyond all reasonable comprehension -- constitutes a "bad fan."  Criticizing the coaching, play-calling, execution or staff is grounds for being exiled from the Feagle cocoon.

Then I am bad fan right now-Regretting spending the money to come back next weekend. Maybe its just frustation but if it wasn't so expensive to change a flight, I would eat the game tickets I bought save the $400.00 for a hotel and stay home.
