Unless he isn't mean enough to get the job done Reese may have to battle pretty hard to get his job back.

I think the kid is plenty smart enough, I also like the fact that Slade and Sullen (more so Sullen) are on either side of him and Sullen apparently has some experience at center. This could help cut down on the mistakes. I am worried about the RT. I think GRob is going to be all that and a bag of chip, so I am not worried about the LT spot. But having Avery Young or Alex Kozan starting at the other tackle spot scares me a little bit.

I worry about his mean streak. If he is half as mean as Ryan Pugh was, then I think we will be ok. If he is timid, then he might get thrown around a little and that bothers me. I prefer my linemen to be more mean than smart.

I have no problem with not being able to pronounce our starting center's name all damn year. Hell, his name is downright scary...

Reese had his chance and he fucked it up. Fariyke has the chance to step up and do great things now - here's hoping he takes it.

Oops, I crapped my pants.

In 2007, we had 3 true freshmen starting on the O-line when we played under the lights in Baton Rude. And those bad boyz did their dead level best to take the knee out on one of the best D-linemen in the country at that time. Does that translate to 2012? Not really. But, bottom line is if you can ball, you can ball. Plus, they wouldn't be starting a true freshman if he wasn't better than the guy(s) behind him.

AUBURN - The Auburn Tigers held a two-hour practice Sunday evening at the Auburn Athletics Complex Practice Fields, preparing for Saturday's season opener versus Clemson.

"I thought we came out tonight with a lot of energy," said Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. "It was good to see the guys very excited about game week. It was high intensity in terms of offense and defense doing a lot of good work against each other. I thought tonight was a really, really good practice."

Chizik also unveiled the offensive line rotation for the opener. Tunde Fariyike will be the starting center, backed up by John Sullen there. The starting tackles will be Avery Young and Greg Robinson, backed up by Shon Coleman and Patrick Miller. The starting guards will be Sullen and Chad Slade, backed up by Alex Kozan and Christian Westerman.

The Tigers will be off Monday and return to the practice field Tuesday afternoon.
