Watkins was found to be in possession of marijuana and two pills (Vyvanse and Adderall) that he did not have a prescription for. Watkins faces two misdemeanor charges for this discovery during a traffic stop on May 4, 2012.Watkins will miss the Clemson season opener against Auburn on September 1st, and also the second game against Ball State on September 8th. The Tigers will have to manage these two games without one of their best players. Watkins had an impressive freshman season with 82 catches, and 12 touchdowns for 1,219 yards.Watkins stated that “I just want to serve my consequences.†Watkins will return for the Furman game on September 15th.
