Good play by al.com.  He's an "Auburn guy" but the fact is that the LE hasn't exactly always been Tiger friendly over the years. 

That said?  He's shitboats better than Woodfuckery.

He's done very well for the Columbus-Ledger the past 6-9 months.

In fact, the past two best "beat writers" we've had have both come from the Columbus-Ledger in the form of Andy Bitter and Joel Erickson. Sucks that they've lost both of them. Hopefully they make another good hire.

It is interesting to me that the two best beat writers have both been from out of state publications. Hopefully Erickson will continue his good work with AL.com. He was always fair and neutral in his blog.

I thought he was decent at the LE (the ONLY paper around here). It's a very PRO Uga paper and he did ok at getting Auburn coverage considering. This explains why the LE is looking for a new beat writer.
