I hate this freaking argument.  I'm sorry, but does anyone here actually know if he is talented?  Seen him play in a game?  Especially and SEC game?   If someone told you that we would be starting a QB that couldn't win the starting job at Kansas State, would you be happy?  Would you think he was "talented"?  I think not, Chris Todd had two years at Texas Tech and failed to earn the starting job...if he is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo talented then how in the hell did he fail at winning the starting job?  If we start Todd expect him to lose more games for us then he actually wins.
Your right, If you cant start over Graham Harrell, you suck. Let go over Graham's shitty stats for the past 2 years
06 4555yds passing 38 td's,
07- 5705 yards 48 tds
this guy is horrible, Todd had good spring with a shoulder injury, lets give him a chance when he is 100%

Ok, lets roll with this.  Under Harrell at TT, which you assume to be better than Chris Todd:

2006 - 8-5 (4-4 in the Big 12)

2007 - 9-4 (4-4 in the Big 12)

so...assuming this kid is better than Chris Todd, he only won 8 games one season and 9 the next.  Therefore, if you look at it like that, you would expect Todd to technically do worse and have a worse record than that.  Do you really want Auburn to be 7-6?  8-5? 6-7?

I'm gonna side with Jumbo on this one.  Those passing stats are outrageous.  And everybody knows that the reason TT finished 8-5 and 9-4 is because Mike Leach doesn't use a defense.  If you were to put TT's offense with our defense, you would have one hell of a team, and thats what we are hoping for this year.

Still doesn't stand to reason because 1. TT throw 90% of the time therefore his numbers will always be inflated, 2.  Texas Tech doesn't play SEC caliber defense outside of MAYBE Texas and Chokelahoma, and 3. Todd is still worse than this guy.  Do you think Harrell is better than Tebow?  No, but its just a fact that TT throws 4,707,546 passes a season.

PS>  He attempted over 617 passes in 2006 with 11 INT's, He attempted 713 passes in 2007 with 14 INTS.  Tim Tebow attempted 350 passes with 6 INT's in 2007...and he won this Heisman.  There is a reason his stats are inflated.  Harrell isn't a better QB than Stafford or Tebow and Todd couldn't win the starting job.  Why should we settle for a average QB who is untested when we have witnessed how talented Burns is and have seen him in a real game.  Its obvious who should be our starter.  Kodi Burns.

Typically.  Now let's hear your spin.

That is not what comparison you drew. You drew a comparison in wins vs losses.

Oh yeah, the argument that Texas Tech doesn't have a defense is bullshit.  They were ranked 45th in overall defense in 2007.

That is a better ranking than Texas, Arkansas, South Carolina, Kentucky, California, Missouri, Oregon, Iowa State (Chizick), and Tennessee.

My argument is still valid.   No Spin there, Therefore explain to me how my earlier statement is not correct.

They give up on average almost 70 yards more per game than AU did in 2007.  I guess next you are going to tell me there is not much difference in 70 yards a game.  It's the difference between 45th and 6th.  i would say there is a HUGE difference.

Now all that being said Todd may not be worth a fuck but I doubt highly that Franklin or Tuberville will put the QB on the field that gives us a lesser chance to win.

I also agree with this.....buuuuuuuuut.....does it not seem that Todd has been Franklin's "guy" from the word go?  Bias may cloud Tony's vision a bit cuz he's invested a lot of time in Todd.

Just thinking out loud.

It is just retarded.  The only reason Todd is being talked about is because Franklin has a massive errection for him, and vice versa.  I think that Burns is obviously the most talented, better suited, etc... I hope I am wrong because that would be awesome, but I just don't see it there at all.  Plus, he has nagging injuries.

There's an article posted on DandB about CTF.  In that article CTF said that during the spring Todd didn't look like the quarterback he used to be.  So maybe his viagra is wearing off and Burns will be the starter.

The last article I read he said something like if Burns could throw better or Todd could run better then they would be the starter over the other.  I think we will be fine at the end of the day.  I think CTT learned his lesson with Damnit Cobb.

Auburn's D > Texas Tech's D

The record is not an indication of one particular player's abilities or lack thereof.

Remember, there is no "I" in team.
