Let The Exodus Begin
« on: August 01, 2012, 10:20:28 AM »

Add to the copied and pasties article below, the QB, Robert Bolden (I think it's Robert) transferred to LSU.  Rats jumping off the ship that took 4 direct torpedo hits.

Less than a week before the start of its preseason workouts, Florida State appears set to add another player to the roster.

According to reports late Tuesday night from ESPN.com and 247Sports.com, the Seminoles are about to add Penn State tight end Kevin Haplea. The junior is leaving State College, Pa. in the wake of the sanctions levied against the Nittany Lions following the child sex abuse scandal that rocked Penn State and college football for much of the past year.

Following an investigation that concluded school officials helped cover up cases of sex abuse by former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, Penn State was slapped with a four-year bowl ban, a four-year loss of scholarships, a vacation of 111 wins and a $60 million fine. Current players, like Haplea also were permitted to transfer out, if they wanted, without penalty.

Tim Buckley Haplea appears to be the fifth Penn State player to transfer out. Safety Tim Buckley began the charge when it was announced earlier this week that he was leaving to play at home in Raleigh, N.C. for North Carolina State. Linebacker Khairi Fortt may be headed to California. Four-star class of 2012 defensive tackle Jamil Pollard will play at Rutgers. And the biggest name of any, running back Silas Redd, decided Tuesday to leave for Southern Cal.

Mostly a blocking tight end, Haplea helped lead the charge for Redd’s 1,241 yards rushing last season.

Expect Haplea to be used mostly as a blocking tight end and in short-yardage and goal line situations. As previously mentioned, he is eligible to play immediately, per the NCAA. He has a good chance to compete for playing time with Nick O’Leary and Dan Hicks at the position. With FSU’s expansive use of two-tight end sets, Haplea could also form a rotation with Hicks at the second tight end spot. He caught three passes for 21 yards for the Nittany Lions last year.

On Friday, reports from Penn State-based recruiting writers said the tight end was in Tallahassee and taking a visit at FSU.

By late Tuesday, his arrival appeared set.

Haplea is an Annandale, N.J. native. He’ll become the fourth player from the Garden State on FSU’s roster. Offensive linemen Daniel Foose and Josue Matias and true freshman quarterback Sean Maguire are also from New Jersey.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

On a related note, FSU just lost their most talented player (IMHO).
