If there was an institutional cover up of child rape (in one instance, much less 14 years or so), then I'd say that the institution needed a top-to-bottom cleansing. Football be damned.
100% agreed.
The Penn State problem is big. Much bigger than I think most of us are grasping. This wasn't just an assistant coach molesting one boy. This was an assistant coach who became an ex-assistant coach using Penn State money and facilities to run a program for troubled young boys and use that program to locate and isolate vulnerable children to be raped.
Let that sink in.
Then realize that numerous people in positions of power at Penn State - including the head coach that is an icon for not just the university, but for the state, the conference, and the history of college football - helped cover up Sandusky's horrific crimes. Why did they cover it up? Because of football games, revenue, and reputation.
As long as I know all of those facts, I'd say nuke Auburn to hell.
