As a true freshman Frazier was reluctant to take a leadership role. That is changing.

“We told him we won’t win unless he steps up as a team leader and he has really taken that in and is getting really focused, doing what he has to do,” Mason says. “He is really getting on people for messing up. He just won’t sit there and be quiet. He lets them know.”

I think the reason I'm pumped about Frasier is what I've heard and seen so far from Corch Loeffler.  It sounds like he's very detail oriented and will get these guy's mechanics the way they should be.  I know the Spring game was just a glorified practice and I even thought Neil Caudle looked like Tom Brady after one of them...but I thought Frasier looked night and day over what he looked like just before last season started.  He couldn't hit a guy standing 8 yards away without the receiver having to make a big adjustment.  This past Spring, he looked confident and his passes were on target. 

If he can make defenses at least half way respect his arm, that will open up his running lanes because we know he do have goot runability.

The offense will feature transfer fullback Jay Prosch, who was a standout at Illinois the last two seasons. Prosch received a waiver and will not have to sit out as a transfer this year, which was especially good news to Mason and the other tailbacks.
