The trailer was great. It may be a mildly funny movie since Farrell isn't playing a washed up athlete.

The trailer was "great"? Only if by "great" you mean "abysmal" If those are some of the highlights of the film, it may well be the single worst movie since cinema debuted. Worse than a dozen Howard the Duck's.

Actually, when it comes to comedy, I don't want the burden of carrying my brain in the movies with me. Or, at least I don't want to have to turn it on. I find all Zucker/Abrahams flicks to be top shelf comedy gold.

I got nothing against movies that don't make you think. Get Smart was a good movie. I got nothing against Will Ferrell movies per se. But the trailer for this movie makes my eyes and ears bleed. It induces vomiting. It's JUST NOT FUNNY. Seriously? I could do a better movie than the last few Ferrell movies I've seen.

I saw it two nights ago. It was stupid, but I laughed my ass off consistently. Which is what you judge a comedy on. So in that respect, it was pretty damn good.
