As Wes said, the committee is the one part I don't like either. It may take some ironing out. My point though? Its better than anything we've had thus far in determining the best football team in the country.

I said early in these restructuring discussions that I'm not sure about this committee.

That being said, I can't imagine it being worse and less informed than the coaches' poll. I'd like to see computers continue to play a role, but if I had to change them, make them more transparent. Expose the formulas.

See I say fuck eight or any number larger than four.  At eight you begin taking away from the regular season and that is the true difference between college football and everything else.  You trip and fall a time or two during the regular season and you have probably fucked yourself. 
Any other sport it's like they get a do-over.

So, Alabama should be penalized for losing a street fight to the undisputed #1 team in the country, but Okie St. shouldn't be penalized for losing in OT to IOWA FUCKING STATE? That argument didn't make sense in January, and it sure as fuck doesn't now. The old system was meant to pit the best team in the country according to the system against the second best team in the country according to the system. It just so happens that Alabama was the second best team in the country according to the system.
