No that is my desktop, which is a PC which I am still trying to fix.  The fuckin Motherboard I had, which was fried, they no longer had at the store.  So I got another Mobo, however now I am having sound issues, as in I don't have any sound.

What are the specs on the MB and does it have on-board sound?

Is it enable in your bios?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does you OS recognize that you have a sound card or on-board sound?

For some reason you are stuck in 1996.

And on the new connector, I would be willing to bet there is an adapter made where you can still use the current charger for charging only. Maybe not data xfer though since the pins are different.

Yes driver installed, not a mac system nor hackintosh.  The mobo is operating Windows 7 x64.

There's  test to see if you audio is working. I had audio problems with java & youtube (it may have been enabling hardware acceleration) and it's been many years ago , and I can't remember how I fixed it. But that was WinXP32-bit. Since using linux, I haven't had any issues with audio. Wireless and touchpad firmware have been the major issues with newer versions of linux and some of the older PCs (mainly Acer junk).

I WOULD NOT FLASH THE BIOS UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. TAKE IT A TECH AND LET THEM HANDLE IT BEFORE YOU TRY TO DO THAT YOURSELF.

No offense BF, cause I appreciate the help, but I have been building computers since high school.  I know my way around them.  I have already flashed the BIOS to the latest version.  I wasn't really asking for help in here, Simp was asking about my computer because I was helping him with something. 2 weeks ago my motherboard was fried when my house got hit by lightning.  That's how I got on the subject of my audio not working. No offense taken except for that peanut gallery fucker. I don't know much about the system you have, but a lightning strike is serious and could have fried more than the MB. Speakers could be shot (try head phone jack), PS I assuming you have the same power supply), Bad board (even new), hard drive failure (if it didn't get hit too). I'm sorry you had a lightning strike, but here is a solution for that if you need one.
