I'm not 100% sure, but if it's anything like the Baseball draft was, you will randomly be assigned a spot in the draft order. If you choose to take part in the live draft, you can pick whomever you want. If get drunk and forget about the draft, it will autopick for you. Kaos didn't participate in the live draft, and he's sitting in 7th or 8th place in the standings in our baseball league.
