Did you consider yourselves in an incestuous relationship? Did you have the intention of being in a incestuous relationship with him? THS is right, if we are applying the same laws that apply to commonlaw relationships, and incest was legal, etc.

In AL, marriage between two who are within the proscribed degree of relationship will suffice, or sexual intercourse.

Back to gay marriage. How do you ban something that doesn't exist?

People tend to overlook the false headlines that read "NC Bans Gay Marriage". When in reality they didn't. They just didn't make it legal and ignore the Defense of Marriage Act, which it doesn't exist under.

I don't think its semantics at all. Its politics. Banning gay marriage is not the same thing as what really happened. It was already banned. They just chose not to override it.
