Could I Walk Down a Street in Ensley Without Being Profiled and/or Attacked?

I seriously doubt it.

If you don't want to watch -

White guy is standing on a street.  A bunch of black people start messing with him.  A girl tries shoving her ass into his crotch.  He starts walking towards a guy who had been messing with him, and the black guy decks the white guy.  They then clean his pockets and strip off his clothes.

Should this be turned into a race war?  No.  The media should not be criticized for giving no attention to this one specific attack even though they've poured hours and days into the Trayvon story.  However, the behavior is indicative of something wrong in parts of our country.  Something far worse than racial tension.

Someone someday (Bill Cosby has tried a little bit) has to address this animal-like behavior in our inner cities.  A white guy can't stand on the street without being tossed around like he's not a human being.  A black guy would once receive the same treatment in a backwoods area of the South years ago.  We addressed it.  It's time to preach civil rights for all people and stop being afraid of being labelled with some pejorative racial term.

Am I out of line?

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

For the record, he didn't start walking towards a guy who was messing with him.  He started walking towards a guy who was trying to steal something from his pocket.

And that is why I tell everyone I come in contact with that they should exercise their 2nd amendment.  Of course, if he had a gun, I imagine he would have shot the guy after he was nearly knocked out while they were trying to rob him of his possessions.  Then we'd have another race war with people screaming that a white man shot an unarmed black male, because the black male didn't use deadly force while robbing and assaulting him.

And for the record, it's not racism when whitey is the victim.

But what about done?

Where are the activists?  The protests?  The organized events?  The speakers?  The leaders?  The law makers?  The enforcement of laws?  The documentaries?  The psychological and sociological studies?

Furthermore, who here believes Dr. King would be proud of what's happening in many of the larger inner cities?  The guy fought, and died, for the rights of African Americans.  He accomplished more in his life then probably 90% of people who will ever walk the earth.  For what?

Bill Cosby indeed tried to address the issue, and he was outright attacked for it.  He was called an Uncle Tom who sold out to the white industry while making millions.  And if you're a white male, you're not allowed to have an opinion on the question posed, or else you'll be called a racist.

But it needs to be addressed.

Really?

He was a communist with good oratory skills. Hardly the self-sacrificing saint he's been made out to be since his death.

Whoever killed King -- and if you think it was James Earl Ray alone in the hotel room with a rifle you need to get out more -- did the movement a tremendous service.  Had he lived and his true self exposed?  Would be a different world today.

I'm sure he had a closet.  Very few people could say they don't.  And I'm not making the man into a saint.  But I don't agree that murdering him was a tremendous service to the civil rights movement.  It was going to happen anyway (civil rights movement), but he was a leader for the black community.  If anything, killing him eliminated any chance we ever had to make racism an afterthought in this country.

Hoover had enough to eviscerate King. He was preparing to destroy King's reputation. Had King been disgraced the entire movement would have been derailed.  Martyred?  Different story.

I'm open to believing his own people arranged to have him killed to prevent the death of the cause.

THIS GUY knows. All factual.

New tapes have come out recently with Jackie Kennedy expressing her feelings about MLK and why. Much of it would shock people but the media decided not to report too much on it. Had a lot to do with King's personal habits and communist dealings, which is why Hoover had a lot of issue with him. Its actually a very complex triangle between Hoover, the Kennedys and MLK. He is not all what he was cracked up to be, just a more polished version of Jesse.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Walk through the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery.  Plainly and proudly displays her communist background including the camps she attended with King where they and their white communist backers prepared plans for her "tired aching feet" to flop down on the bus and stir folks up.

She wasn't what she was cracked up to be either.  What people "know" about hero Rosa Parks is completely and totally fraudulent. She was an activist and a communist sympathizer.  It sickens me to see her hailed as an American hero.  Total bullshit swallowed by a gullible public.  Nobody cares about the truth of history.

Her entire act was orchestrated by communists whose master long-range plan was to effect a takeover of the American government from the inside.

Glad that plan failed....... wait, what?

Sure. Shit is everywhere out there. They just don't report on it much. Came out last Fall.

Here is a nice snippet but there is more out there if you look. Of course the media and left went into damage control saying she really didnt feel this way. Yeah, thats why people always say stuff right? Couple of things this article shows me: JFK chose LBJ to merely carry the South.  And also, the joke about the Cardinal and Kennedys being drunk at JFK 's funeral...racial undertone? I take as a jab at Irish people in general. Ironinc eh?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2035461/Jackie-Kennedy-look-image-Martin-Luther-King-sex-party-claims.html

Quote
Jackie Kennedy hated Martin Luther King so much she could barely look at photographs of him.

In interviews taped in 1964 but only just released, she said the black civil rights leader was a ‘terrible man’ and a ‘phoney’.

She claimed King bragged of being drunk at her husband John F Kennedy’s funeral and had been caught trying to set up an orgy.

Mrs Kennedy said her view of   King was formed after being told of secret FBI wiretaps which showed him trying to organise a sex party before he attended the March on Washington in August 1963, at which he delivered his ‘I Have a Dream’ speech.

She said her brother-in-law Robert told her that King made disparaging remarks about JFK at the funeral and about Cardinal Richard Cushing, who delivered the eulogy.

‘I just can’t see a picture of Martin Luther King without thinking, you know, that man’s terrible,’ she said.

‘He made fun of Cardinal Cushing and said that he was drunk at it [the funeral] – and things about they almost dropped the coffin. I mean Martin Luther King is really a tricky person.’

She said Robert told her of the FBI wiretaps: ‘He said this with no bitterness or anything, how he was calling up all these girls and arranging for a party of men and women, I mean, sort of an orgy.’

Over the seven sessions, Mrs Kennedy recalled conversations on topics ranging from her husband’s reading habits to the botched Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba in 1961.

But the sharpest criticism was for Johnson, who John F Kennedy chose as his running mate in 1960. Mrs Kennedy said her husband would say to her: ‘Oh, God, can you ever imagine what would happen to the country if Lyndon were president?

‘And Bobby told me that he’d had some discussions with him ... do something to name someone else in 1968.’

...

Interesting article but I'm sure the media is not reporting on this because the sources are not exactly substantiated; it's simply audio recordings of what she said that somebody told her.

I'm not trying to defend DMLK; we all have a past as others have indicated here and he was no saint.

We do know for a fact that there was always political bad blood between the Democrats (JFK, RFK, LBJ, etc.), particularly the New England, blue-blood variety, and the Republicans back then, especially during the civil rights era.

DMLK, while not substantiated as a Republican, was certainly being helped by the Republican party through legislation and action favorable to the movement that he led.  It was a Republican President and Republicans in Congress who spearheaded the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and it was a Republican Administration that had to force desegregation with Federal troops...I could go on about the Voting Rights Act and all the way back to the 15th Amendment.  (LBJ later only supported the revision to the Voting Rights Act in '64 because he knew that not doing so would tear apart the Democrat party and destroy his chance to obtain reelection.)  In short, there was a great deal of politically motivated hate.

And who knows what Hoover's motivations were or his party affiliation for that matter.  There so much rubbish out there on him that no one knows the truth.

Anyway, I would expect Jackie-O to be no less vitriolic about DMLK than what was printed in this article but I am going to do some due diligence on this subject.

The truth is out there and, to get back on point, I do agree with THS about something being wrong with civility in this country.
