If he had any speed he'd be a D1 prospect, but we cant ever time him (hand held) at anything under 5.0. And, if he doesn't have the ball in his hands, he's worthless as tits on a bull, won't block a soul. He could, but simply won't. My guess is Ladarius like that. No ball to carry, he could give a shit less.

Good analogy. Have no idea about Coates. I guess we'll get some guage in a couple of weeks. I sure hope he's all that and a bag of chips because I see a ton of potential and hype with our WR's but nobody's done shit to show they're on Blake's level.

Phillips was a 2 star fat fuck fullback. Coats was a 3 star WR, and apparently the speed listed on rivals, it not terribly inflated. Some people Prowler for instance like to pick some "diamond in the rough" and predict great things. Sometimes right, more often wrong.

Fact is, the only one I know around here with a crystal ball that he thinks can see in the future is Prowler.

No comparison in my opinion. I have never seen the dude play, but based on things that I have read, I am looking forward to watching this kid. He is a stud. Athletic as hell. I was impressed with not only the football things in high school, but baseball as well. I would be surprised if this kid doesn't do some good things at Auburn.

Difference in the 2? Best I can recall, I don't recall hearing any players really talking Ladarius up. Internet boards filled with folks fascinated that we had a RB that was a biscuit short of 3 bills? Yeah.

Coats? The coaches and players are all talking about him.

I'll put it this way, Stefon Diggs would've played behind Sammie Coates...also, Angelo Blackson will be Auburn's next Lombardi winner (barring injury of course).

I can't help it if others got excited and expected the next Ron Dayne/Jerome Bettis with Phillips...I just wanted to see him run downhill and kill a couple defenders. Also, the guy could do a standing backflip, iirc.
