Some people actually think that deporting 30 million people is feasible. Have fun with that.

All newt is doing is offering a sensible soution. All of the other solutions are at both extremes and not feasible, those being full amnesty and deportation. Offering a legal path would work. Although ignorance of the law isn't an excuse, many of these immigrants don't even understand what the law is. If they are found without documentation, explain to them the law, give them a chance to do it right and if they don't want to, at that point either deport them or jail them. The biggest thing right now is to stop the bleeding at the border. If that isn't fixed, all of the other is a moot point.

When they crossed the boarder undocumented, they became criminals.  Same as murderers, no different.  Kill 'em all!  No redemption.

Real Mexican food.

Not the cheap-diarrhea-inducing vat of beef with red sauce and cheese bullshit you get at most places.

I mean the hole in the wall Mexican market that serves tacos al chicharron or tacos al lengua or tacos al cabeza or tamales or sopas or napales.

And if you don't like apples, you can def turn to the Mexican food for the colon cleansing.

Usually agree with you on these things, but you're dead wrong. Gingrich hasn't once used the word amnesty. These people he speaks of can choose to take a legal pathway as a choice. If they refuse, then deportation. He hasn't once said the word amnesty or even the mentioned the principle behind it. If I were you I would quit listening to Karl Rove and the foxnews neocons in regards to this. They'll fill your head full of shitake.

GH, as I wrote, he does not use the word "amnesty" (different nomenclature because he knows how polarizing this particular word is amongst conservatives) but that is exactly the program he has described in several debates including South Carolina most recently.  I know I was not dreaming when I heard him describe the very program that I spelled-out in my previous post.  Maybe he's flip-flopped on the issue now.  I can't speak for him and, to be clear, I don't support him but if he's the candidate I'll vote for him (anybody but Obama at this point).

Agree with you on the FoxNews/ Karl Rove neocons though.

These American tourists were in Mexico and thought they were late to get back to the tour bus.  They saw this Mexican taking a siesta....becasue that's what they all do....ran over to him and said, "Pardon us Senor, (Put the squiggly line over the n) but do you know what time it is?"  There was a donkey standing beside the Mexican and the man reaches out, cups the donkeys balls, lifts them up and says, "Ees, 3:00"

Thank you....but if you don't mind me asking, how can you tell what time it is by cupping a donkey's balls?

Well, ees like thees.  First, you cup the donkees balls, like so.  Theen, you leeft them up like thees......an you see that clock on the wall over there?

My biggest concerns regarding this particular issue are taxes (these folk should be paying their equal share if they are going to work here), border security (we need to get serious about this problem), identifying who's here and why, and, lastly, the vote (if you are not a citizen there may be means of classifying you as a "guest worker" but I DON'T think that status gives you the "right" to vote in any election).  On that last item you know as well as I that's what these politicians want on both sides of the political spectrum.

That actually is real Mexican food too. Its regional there like food is here. Most of what you described (vat of beef with sauce and cheese) is real popular in Northern Mexico. I worked for a company years back and we had some developers who worked remotely out of Mexico City. They all visited one week. 3 of them were from Mex City and 2 were from Juarez. They gave me the entire spiel on how food there is very different based on what part of the country you were from. They all agreed that the Mexican cuisine we eat in most places around the southeast is from the utmost northern parts of the country that almost border with Texas. Southern and Central Mexican food isnt nearly as cheese heavy. TIFWIW. That's just what they told me. But it does make sense. I know a lot of Mexican food has some of the same reputation as a lot of American food in being high on the cardiac chart.

And again, remember what he said. Its a pathway for productive immigrants who have been here a long time. That's a big difference in giving full amnesty for all illegals. I have no issue with a pathway for a certain block of immigrants who are productive workers/members of society and want to actually be a citizen of the United States. The ones who just want to mooch, game the system and send everything back home and have no intention of being or wanting to be productive citizens? Yes, deal with them accordingly.

Lookit.  I'm willing to admit that I may have mis-heard what I heard but at the end of the day I don't trust him on this issue until he fleshes-out his scheme more.  For example, if his practical solution includes allowing non-citizen, guest workers the "right" to vote then it's not a practical solution because there's a vested interest on the part of the body politic, if you will.  And one can use the excuse that deportation is impractical but that is exactly what is going to have to happen to a significant number of these folk especially those who game the system as you correctly put it.

Well, I don't really think you will have to even be concerned with it. Gingrich is done. I think that Gingrich has/had the best chance to put the clamps on Osam....Obama, but he will not get the bid. Therefore, it really doesn't make a flying shit what Gingrich had planned to do......unless of course he gets some sort of official position in the cabinet.

I've heard that said about Gingrich twice already in this campaign.  There are quite a few states on Super Tuesday that he will win if he stays in the race (and I think that he will).  Also, Romney will be wounded badly if he does not win Michigan (and the numbers are not looking too good).  That gives a big opening again to Gingrich and Santorum in the lead-in to Super Tuesday.  And the Republican base are simply not jazzed about Romney; in short I don't think Gingrich is done but I might be wrong.

Anyway, anybody but Obama...that's who I'm voting for.

At this point, I want anyone but Romney. A few late entries into the race would be nice. Mitch Daniels and Paul Ryan would be good. And HELL NO to Jeb Bush.....really? Another Bush? Foxnews needs to stop the drooling over him. And Romney.

FWIW - Romney is spending a lot of money in the metro Atl area (including ritzy suburbs) to attempt to steal Ga away from Newt. And its working. The sunofabeech is gonna spend his way to the nomination. I hate this shit. I guess he will finish the trifecta of failed neocon nominees the last 2 decades....Dole, McCain.....now Romney? This guy lost badly to McCain, who lost badly to Obama. And this is the guy the establishment is calling electable?

I'm with you on the Jeb Bush suggestion.  It's ludicrous.  Mitch Daniels would be a great candidate and it's still not too late for him to enter the race.  I don't think we can count on Paul Ryan running.  Frankly, I think that he will be needed in the House especially if The Pharaoh wins reelection.

I've noticed that Romney has been to the ATL a couple of times but I don't think he's going to win Georgia.  Speaking of his political ads I've seen quite a few of those "I'm a Mormon" billboards around Cobb and Fulton counties.

As much as I hate to admit it none of the Republican candidates really get my political blood excited.  I can't accept that these are the only folk we could find to run against The Pharaoh but it is what it is...Herman Cain was my man this time; what a disappointing campaign season.

I am not going to do a lot of quotes here but.......

Jeb?  Would have been miles and miles better than W, seriously, the wrong Bush ran and got elected.  Not saying that Jeb would have been Reagan, but he wouldn't have been that bad in 2000.  W sucked for the most part.   Hell the entire party has sucked since they lost the leadership of Lott and Newt.   Those two fine southern gentlemen kept shit in line.   Quickly, Boehner and Mitch McConnell or Trent Lott and Newt?

Illegals.......Consumption Tax.   They will either pay their fair share or they will won't be sending as much back home and it will cause them to leave.   Most will tell you that they are here to live as cheaply as possible and send as much as they can back home.

None of what we are throwing out there right now is electable.  You have to be careful with sending someone like Paul the young, Ryan, Rubio or Hunter.....etc....etc.....etc..... They lack experience and a failed presidential run could effectively ruin them.

I know we all bash on Ron Paul, b/c it's the cool thing to do and since his foreign policy is horrid, but damned if I wouldn't make him "Sec of Treasury"

THEY'RE CRIMINALS!  FUCKING SACKS OF SHIT!  The unmitigated gall of some fucking people wanting to work and make a living.  Besides, they all cheat, steal, get paid under the table, steal identities.  All of them.  They're all the same.
Nobody said that, so put your straw tiger away.

When they crossed the boarder undocumented, they became criminals.
Perhaps...  I suppose that it depends on the facts.  Whether they're criminals or not, undocumented means that they're here illegally.  Some may be deserving of an expedited path to legal status, but the rest of them, regardless of whether they're Mexican, Ugandan or Chinese, need to be sent back.  There's simply no excuse to be in this country illegally.  Look at all of the different types of Visas that we offer...
Athletes, amateur & professional (compete for prize money only)
Au pairs (exchange visitor)
Australian professional specialty
Border Crossing Card: Mexico
Business visitors
Crewmembers
Diplomats and foreign government officials
Domestic employees or nanny -must be accompanying a foreign national employer
Employees of a designated international organization, and NATO
Exchange visitors
Foreign military personnel stationed in the U.S.
Foreign nationals with extraordinary ability in Sciences, Arts, Education, Business or Athletics
Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Professionals: Chile, Singapore
International cultural exchange visitors
Intra-company transferees
Medical treatment, visitors for
Media, journalists
NAFTA professional workers: Mexico, Canada
Performing athletes, artists, entertainers
Physician
Professor, scholar, teacher (exchange visitor)
Religious workers
Specialty occupations in fields requiring highly specialized knowledge
Students: academic, vocational
Temporary agricultural workers
Temporary workers performing other services or labor of a temporary or seasonal nature.
Tourism, vacation, pleasure visitors
Training in a program not primarily for employment
Treaty traders/treaty investors
Transiting the United States

Same as murderers, no different.  Kill 'em all!  No redemption.
The problem is that we don't have any real penalty for being in our country illegally.  Fines would never get paid, and incarceration seems to be overkill for the pansy-assed apologist crowd.  The right answer is prolly some combination of the two.  Meanwhile, we have trash like this living among us, and nobody is doing anything serious about it...
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44317810/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts/t/obamas-uncle-arrested-drunken-driving-charge/#.T0PLsVyVv_M

Some people actually think that deporting 30 million people is feasible.
So, the magical number is up to 30M now?  Somehow, I really don't believe that, but if there are that many, we could always round 'em up and make 'em dig a moat and build a wall along our boarders.

It's a small step in the right direction...  It won't really affect all of them, but it would touch most of them.  It would have to be significant enough to make a dent.
