Aubie wins unprecedented seventh mascot championshipPress-Register By Renee BusbyMOBILE, Alabama -- Auburn University's mascot Aubie has won an unprecedented seventh mascot championship handed out by the Universal Cheerleaders Association National Championship.The competition was held in Orlando.“Aubie continues to set the example for a model mascot program in the country,” Corey Edwards, director of the office of Student Development was quoted as saying in a story featured on Auburn’s Web site.Aubie’s winning skit was titled “Aubie’s Saturday,” which featured the mascot’s routine on a Saturday — from watching morning cartoons to “Saturday Night Live.” He also performed a skit from “Saturday Night Live.”
