Very true. He is even rumored to be a Miami Dolphin HC candidate.  And one would think by now the OC will not be from the college ranks. I'm not much of a Saints fan but I do like the machinelike way they advance the ball.

It could be that one (or more) of his top choices that he is considering is not yet ready to leave their current team and be hired by Auburn, as they are still in the playoffs.  Although I haven't really heard any rumors about coaches from the remaining teams, as Carmichael was the only one I knew of.

Four NFL teams looking for HC's which also means staff changes. I think I recall hearing that eight of ten new NFL HC hires from '08 were gone within two years. CGC showing quite a bit of  patience and his man doesn't necessarily have to come from a current playoff team.
