If I was Coach Miles, I wouldn't have let Lee dress out, if you remember they'd show Lee would be warming up on the sidelines or stretching, everytime JJ would come off the field after another 3&out. That sticks into the back of the QB's mind, knowing that the backup is looking over his shoulder, causing him to press and try to make something happen (that usually results in mistakes...unless your name is Cam Newton)...especially if Coach Miles had no intention of playing Lee, even when the LSU faithful were booing JJ in the early part of the 3rd Qtr.

So what you're saying is that Trotter's steady decline in production from the Clemson game until he was unchained against Clemson is Chizik's fault because Turtle Moseley was one bad throw from stepping in?

Think about that a minute. 

Trotter was straight money when we needed two perfect drives to save the day against the mighty Tongans.

Played his ass off first half against Clemson. But they bludgeon the defense. Trying to make something happen he throws a pick in the endzone.

Plays hesitantly but is gold when we needed a game winning drive against the Cocks. 

Struggles on the road at Arky.  Weak first half against the Gaytors. Go sit over there.

Offense sucks WORSE for Five games and three series. 

Trotter is gold again. 

His best moments came when he knew the job was his to do.    Two game winning drives.  One bowl rescue.

Makes me wonder what the ghost of turtle did to his psyche and what role the coaches played in creating that. 

FWIW Super Trotter doesn't beat UA or LSU but it would have been more competitive.  I think he could have beaten UGA. Maybe.  So in terms of record there may have been little or no change.  It's all in how bad we looked getting there.

I knew we weren't going to be that good this year.  I thought 8-5 or 9-4 would be about right where we were supposed to be.  The only disappointing thing in the 5 is how we got beat and I still fill like we got shit on against Arkansas on the non class that broke us.  I agree, I think Trotter, with knowing that it's his job and a couple of bad throws isn't going to bench him, we are a lot more competitive in those loses and who knows, we might come away with a one of Ark of Clemson with better QB play.

I was confident that our play would be subpar.  A reasonable expectation for the season would be four or five losses, but any more than that would be unsatisfactory.  What was most disappointing about our losses was how we lost a few of those games.  I have a suspicion that the Arkansas game was winnable, but our inability to recruit and hang on to current players from the 2008 class is what caused the loss.  As for your thoughts on Trotter at quarterback, I agree that he is a much more adequate performer when he is not worried about losing his starting spot; the pressure of always making the perfect throw is too much for him to handle.  Perhaps if he does not feel that pressure, we are more competitive in our embarrassing losses, and possibly, we are victorious against Arkansas or Clemson.
