Quick: name an ATL defensive back.

Atlanta's problem is one of personnel mostly.

Well after four years as DC I would say he is part of that problem.  No?

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

He is wise in the ways of analysis.

Atlanta has never put much emphasis in trying to build that side of the ball.  They sold their souls for Julio in last years draft when putting points on the board was really not the issue.  I do think Julio is going to wind up being one hell of a pro WR but they would have been better served to trade those picks for proven defensive players.  Save for a couple of guys, the Falmommy parts defense is a bunch of no names.

Not sure how much input coordinators get in the draft process.  Seems like the Falcons have mortgaged the franchise for wrs and tes.

See I don't know either.  What I do know is that as his boss I would have to evaluate him by how his defense performs.

Run defense A+.

Pass Defense C- maybe D+

Maybe I need to start with the baby steps first.  If he teaches fuckers how to tackle it will be a step closer than we were this past year.

Gonna agree with the counselor here I would say that I am sure he has a voice but it is probably not that loud. Most picks are coming from the scouts and GM.  Some NFL coaches don't even have much input, some have a lot.

NFL is such a totally different beast.  Think about it.  Aside from Free Agency, in a normal draft there are 7 rounds.  Assuming your team only has 1 pick per round that is 7 players a year.  Considering that most 4-7 round picks sometimes don't even make the roster.  That is 1-3 guys you have to hit on.  Ok now college 25 new players each year.

I wouldn't really worry too much about his NFL numbers.  I like what he did at UGA and now he has NFL experience on top of that. Seems win-win to me.

Because a good coach would "coach 'em up"?

Brent Grimes hurt latter part of season.
Dunta Robinson = overpaid and worthless.
DeCoud = flashes of good, but not.
A few others that looked OK at times, crappy most of the time.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Not worried about CPS.  As I said earlier, a paralyzed chihuahua would be better than what we had.

                                                            :haha:

Not really.  I don't see any strong evidence that he will not be successful.  I just have some concerns about the pass defense.
