Recruiting update: All signs pointed to Jones heading south. He recently gushed about his official visit to Alabama in November, and he has taken official visits to Auburn and Virginia Tech. But now that Urban Meyer is at Ohio State, the Buckeyes are worth watching.

Recruiting update: Ward, who says he's still wide open, has made official visits to LSU and Auburn. He will have a busy month of January, visiting Mississippi State (Jan. 13), Alabama (Jan. 20) and Ole Miss (Jan. 27). Ward's brother, Taurus, plays for the Rebels, so it will be interesting to see if the family ties play into anything.
