Sani always promises to love you in the morning.

I haven't heard anything about them doing away with gamertags.  Not really sure how they would; you need some sort of way for people to find and befriend you so that you can play online games together, send messages, etc.

Yeah, I would hate to not have a way to re-befriend Sani so that we can kick ass and take names out West.

I think maybe I read something about integrating it all into a username or something. It would still be essentially the same thing to end user. Who knows. Maybe it was too much Jameson that night.

I wonder what their reasoning behind this is?  I guess there is some sort of coding or software difference between a "username" and how they have the gamertags set up right now, but it doesn't seem like it would be much of a difference.

I do recall that they were getting rid of the "Recover Gamertag" feature, but that you'd be able to log in on a friend's Xbox some other way.

Who knows. Maybe it was too much Jenna Jameson that night.
