Going in to today, he was the 30th leading rusher in the league, and #2 for QBs, one yard behind Tebow.  Today, he out-rushed Tebow by 31 yards.

Barry Sanders sometimes took negative yards on rushes, but was capable of making NFL defenders look like the Keystone Cops.  Cam is the same way.  You'll never make NFL defenders look stupid on every play, but even having that ability at all is special.  That TD run looked much like the one against LSU last year.

Cam finished third in fan voting behind Brees and Rogers.  I could see the media licking Manning ass and going that direction.   Could also see them rewarding Alex Smith for the 49ers improvement.   Stafford also deserves some consideration but probably won't get it. 

Anybody else have Cam in the Pro Bowl pool before the season?   I had Jimmy Clausen, dammit.

Cam to the Pro Bowl would be sweet.  Big time vindication with all the naysayers. 

I don't think there's any doubt that he'll get better in years to come but one area that may make the biggest improvement is leadership.  Leadership you say?  Saw a report this weekend about how he tends to get down on himself late in the game if things start going south.  He was even quoted as saying he recognized that and needed to change.  Several videos showed him heading to the bench and grabbing a towel and putting it over his head and the coaches having to get his head back into it.  I think the guy has just never really experienced losing and/or things going wrong...but that's just my psychobabble analysis.  Not a real knock on the guy, just saying that since he recognizes it, we'll probably be seeing more 4th quarter come backs out of Mr. Newton.
