True, unless he would have had to sit out most if not all of the year anyway. This way would make it look better for him.

Unless he applies for a hardship stating that he needs to be closer to home b/c of a sick family member. If not that, then he sits a year. I also have a hard time believing that the NCAA will grant that waiver with him being currently suspended, that would open the flood gates to others and it would be used as a safety net.

This makes me wonder what the violation actually is. Certainly Chizik isnt gonna make a kid sit over a year for the wacky weed. Would grade issues cause this type of suspension? If thats the case then this would be an NCAA matter right?

If he is gonna transfer, it makes no sense to go to Arky State. Why not Oklahoma, Arkansas, Okl St or another bigger program closer to the midwest? If you are gonna sit out a year anyway, might as well be worth it.

I'm too lazy to look for it again, but I recently saw a chart of the suspensions at each SEC school for drug related transgressions...and I believe Auburn showed a 50% of competition suspension rate for a second offense.

Agree. If he can't get a family medical hardship waiver, then I am going somewhere that has a change of getting that crystal and getting me a Heisman right before I enter the league.
