awesome stuff...snaggle.

Fine...just because you were so snarky, Mr. Snarky McSnarkshire, I did talk to Craig Sanders again this weekend.  Ironic that it was in Dicks...because of how much I love Dicks.

Yep, me and the 2nd string defensive end were sittin' around, chewin' the fat.  I says, "Hey, you Craig Sanders?" and he says, "Fuck off you rude bastard, I'm having a conversation here."

That Craig.  Kills me when he kids around like that.

Random Terry Price story -

I took a few recruits to a film study with Price and the defensive ends.  Coach Price was giving a erudite explanation of the play on screen and using esoteric jargon that fluently expressed his expectations of the players involved.

Then he noticed something and began to stutter.

And then it went something like this, and it was loud (I can't remember the player's name):

"What the fuck?  WHAT THE FUCK SMITH?"
"Coach?"
Coach rewinds the film.
"That Smith!  What the fuck?  You let him block you like that?"
Blank stare from the player.
"God damnit!  GOD DAMNIT! SMITH!  DON'T YOU LET HIM BLOCK YOU LIKE THAT!  FUCK!  YOU RIP HIS FUCKING ARM OFF THE NEXT TIME HE BLOCKS YOU LIKE THAT!"
"Yes sir."
Coach rewinds it back to the same play.
"GOD DAMNIT SMITH!  YOU CHOKE THAT MOTHERFUCKER BEFORE YOU LET HIM BLOCK YOU LIKE THAT."
"Yes sir."

And it went right back to normal instruction like nothing strange had happened.  The recruits thought it was awesome.

That's funny as hell.  I once saw Al Borges make a complete sentence using only the word "Fuck" 6 times.  Didn't know it was possible but somehow, it made sense.

This is the kind of information that would be helpful up front...
Maybe we should pin a thread with a listing of all Sexton's clients.

I don't know who is or isn't coming to be our DC...like everybody else here...but what does that have to do with it?

Sexton notoriously floats his clients names around for every big job out there whether they have interest or not so that he can rework the contract for more money. He is Tubs agent and just look at the last 4 or 5 years he was at Auburn. I am sure there are more examples...

From J. Lee

Quote
Auburn has offered Mark Stoops the defensive coordinator position.

The two parties are currently negotiating a few issues in the contract, money not being one of them.

Stoops would like to be certain he will have the liberty to run his defense and not have anyone meddling/forcing something on him.

Stoops would also like to have some control over the defensive coaching personnel (have major input into any changes/hirings...etc.).

If things get worked out, we could see something announced soon.

You sure?  I thought that was just rumor and his agent is Neil Cornrich who is also Bob and Mikes agent.

I think you missed the word "SOME"...Also, a DC should have input into any changes and/or hirings on the defensive side of the ball.

Unlike you, I can read. I saw "some", which is why I agreed to an "extent".
