Personally I would be happy with Joe Whitt Jr. Are there others that I would rather have, yeah, but he seemed to be a good recruiter at Lousiville and he seems to be doing a good job at Green Bay. Read some article back at the end of the season last season and he got high praise from his players and other coaches. Some seemed to think he is going to be another Mike Tomlin. Pretty damn good praise.

The same young 'uns that couldn't get into position, had their heads up their ass and gave up more yards and points than any team in Auburn history were bad ass on special teams. They knew where to be, got there and knocked the fuck out of people trying to return the ball.

Whose job was it to teach them fundamentals?

I understand youth. I understand mistakes. But when you see the same thing over three seasons regardless of experience or age?

"They's young" just doesn't hold up.

We want the young ones to grow into the best players they can be. Wasn't going to happen the way things were going.

Good for Ted that he landed softly. Hopefully good for AU that we get a fresh perspective.

I still think that besides that, which has been atrocious for 3 years, the defense as a whole reflected a very non aggressive mentality. From what I've observed of Roof, that was a reflection of his personality.

I'll quote myself to add...the younger you are, the better you ought to be at fundamentals, because that should be what you concentrate on. The things that suffer from youth are being simply physically outmatched, and the ability to implement more, and more complicated concepts. We've not tackled well for 3 years now.
