Kenny Gabriel got stupid...in a good way...last night. The first triple double in like 8,000 games for Auburn. And one of the doubles was in blocks. And the guy had to leave warm ups to hit the can for a mowanga dump.

I expected to get beat this game, figured it would be somewhere around the line which had FSU a 13 point favorite. We suck at teh basketball, but I see improvement. We are better this year than we were last year and that is what I want to see. I didn't expect Barbee to come in and take us dancing by year two. I wanted to see improvement from years one to two and we see it. Now next year, I expect a NIT at worse. With what he is recruiting, that is reasonable. If he doesn't then I don't think there is any hope for us.

When you shoot 22% and let the opponent shoot over 50% it usually is a contributing factor.

Perusing the DVR this morning and I found the Auburn/Vandy roundball extravaganza.

I got sick of watching the boys in blue putz around at about 13 minutes to go in the first half and watched the rest of the game in 4 minutes thanks to the wonders of the "Fast Forward" button.

Fuck me, 65-35 is pitiful.

Starting out 0-2 in league play sux, but it was against 2 very good teams, including the #2 team in the country. If this team wants to get something good started in league play and pick up a little momentum, I don't think there will be a better opportunity than the next 3 games. It will never get any better than 3 straight home games against:

Ole Miss
LSU
Sakerlina

These are the 3 teams that Auburn is probably most on par with and they have them at home. This may be an indicator of how the rest of the season will go. War Barbee and the Auburn Tiggers.

The good Tigers picked up the first SEC win with a double OT win over the Fighting Black Bears, 69-68. It would be nice to pick up wins in these 3, winnable home games. On a side note, I could only face palm when FSU handled us by 30. Did you see what FSU did to North Carolina over the weekend? CRUSHED by 33. So.....

Auburn > North Carolina
