2012 TigersX Basketball outing

Well, it was great to see Snaggletiger there.

The rest of you guys suck...but on a serious note I do hope that your ill children are getting better.

Sani, GarMan, and I drove down in Cracker 1 that morning after having enjoyed several, traditional Screwdrivers before-hand.  GarMan and Sani were fairly-well hammered by the time we got there.  Kudos to Snaggletiger (and his brother-in-law) who were brave enough to show up and join us at Momma-G's.  Good sammiches, great company, but I'd have preferred a Jack and Coke instead of teh beer.  Sani made up for that at the game by bringing the "cushion" along.

I was disturbed to see that "Standing Room Only" tickets were the only ones available (at a reasonable $15.00 each compared to the $185.00 cheap seats at the Dean Dome); but, even more disturbing were all the empty seats!  Since they were available though we made ourselves at home into some very exceptional seats about 15 minutes into the game.

I want to say that the new basketball venue is also exceptional; not too big or too small.  Auburn should be proud of it.  My only problem was not seeing ANY banners hanging in the rafters.  (I'm used to seeing banners in the rafters; this flaw bothers me...I think Lebo should be fired.)

Anyway, a good time was had by all (and GarMan got a nice nap in); nothing got stolen and there was no puking on Magnolia Ave.  And, as always, with my visits to Auburn I feel at home and part of the Family.  The rest of the story will have to remain amongst those of us who were there.

Hard to believe the ticket chick was the one to let Sani back in.  Apparently, she likes it rough.  I have to say, never a dull moment when Cracker 1 arrives with Sani, Heel and Garman.  Just sit back and enjoy the ride.  And after a 485 page thread about meeting up for this game, 4 people show...FOUR???  So:

1. Snags did in fact make it....WITH his nuttz.....and WITH one of many brother-in-laws.

2. I've been in the new arena several times but never for a basketball game until this past Saturday.  Was very impressed and very proud that Auburn has this facility.

C. Came off of College on to Donahue and all of a sudden, we're looking at this incredible view of the stadium.  Took a second before we realized Sewell Hall has been leveled.  Of course they're starting construction on more housing but kind a weird change to the landscape.

4. Sani is a crazy son of a bitch. 

E. The crazy son of a bitch did spring for the standing room only tix and a refreshing glass of delicious coke product.  Kudos...oh, and see #4 above.

6. The part about the truck shitting..well, we were driving away as he was dropping trou...did not actually witness dropping a growler....did not want....drove away quickly.

At halftime I went outside to grab a smoke.  Before walking out I ask three Auburn cops and one arena employee if there are pass outs to which I get no answer just dumb assed looks.  I proceed to go outside to have one.  Attempt to go back in and am stopped by the door nazis.  I attempt to explain all of this to them and then realize that I don't even have my stub on me.  So I text Garman and tell him to bring me my ticket.  He shows up and starts trying to deal with the door nazis for a couple of minutes to no avail so I walk back over to the ticket window and tell the young lady who I bought the tickets from that I would be refusing the charge on my credit card.  She then walks inside and tells all the fucktards to let me back in.

GarMan will tell you that I had completely blocked that out of my mind and forgotten about it until Sunday night when he wondered out loud how and when it was discovered by the truck owner.  Needless to say that I had no appetite for a while.  Some things just should not be seen.
