Part of me wanted him to hit the switch in the safe room.  Talk about a fantastic ending.  Of course, it would kill the series, but damn that would have been sweet.

Wouldn't have killed the series.  Could have made it better, actually.

Carrie vindicated.  Saul vindicated.

Estes could have been in the bathroom and injured, not killed.

Walker still out there.  Other parts of Abu's plan still in motion.

Country in political turmoil and shocked fury.  Changes in American attitudes, suspicious of all middle easterners, calls for roundups and WWII style camps to keep tabs on them.  Changes to immigration and travel policy.

Would have had Jess grieving and Mike coming back into the picture (yay, more tits!), the kids dealing with the dad they didn't know and how the public would trash them.  They'd be pariahs.

Yeah, you lose Brody.  But I think the series could actually have been stronger without him and the Carrie/Brody romantic angle.

Two episodes in and the second season is just as good as the first.

The rationale for bringing Carrie back in is a little thin but the payoff was worth it.

Really good show.

Dexter, on the other hand, is wandering badly.  There was a thirty seconc "what the fuck" at the end of the season premiere but other than that it is drifting.

Still the best show on TV and proved it again tonight.

Walking Dead was solid, but Homeland continues to deliver the goods.

Every episode is taut, filled with tension and tightly written.  It wants to nibble around the edges of Brody's wife and kid drama, it sneaks ever so slightly into "broken Carrie" melodium from time to time but it doesn't dawdle there.  It gets right back to the true moving pieces that make the show work.

I do wish I'd seen wifey's titties again though.  They cut that story arc off just seconds before they popped out.

Fucking awesome show. Best on tv right now. Very few shows leave me wanting the next episode immediately, this one does it every week.

Well, they went there a lot faster than I thought they would. Will be interesting to see how they play it out now.

This is a great show indeed; glad I'm not the only one watching it.  I too was surprised that they 'went there' so fast but it was so very satisfying to see Carrie finally get vindicated.

Well, that was just a little too predictable.  First time for the show, but now I believe they are going to have a hard time bringing the suspense back.

I don't know; you may be right however I think it's adds a whole new dynamic.  I'm rarely interested in "dialogue scenes" since most of the writing on tv theatrics is grammar-school dreck in my opinion but those interrogation scenes were some intensely good drama as far as I'm concerned.

Nicholas Brody has a Twitter account.

Some of the posts are pretty funny, others are so-so.

Also, if you're not up to date on the show, there are a few spoilers.  Nothing too big or detailed enough to give a lot away, but just a warning nonetheless.

Is he?  I could never spot any clues one way or the other.  Not that it matters as far as the story goes, but I've always noticed that they never make any mention of political parties despite having so much of the show focused on his involvement in a presidential campaign.

Just a humorous assumption on my part based on that Tweet; like you, I can never spot any definitive clues.

She is quite the Janus in a couple of ways.  I like what Saul Berenson said to her, "'You are the smartest and the dumbest fucking person I know.'"

And the dumpster fire would be appropriate but that would end the show.
