Current PSU Coaching Staff:

Tom Bradly: Played at Penn State, and has been on the coaching staff for 33 years since he played there.

"Dick" Anderson: Played at PSU 60-62, on staff a total of 34 years...left for 6 to be HC at Rugers. Has been back on staff since 1990.

Kermit Buggs: 8th season as AC (Safties) . Did not play at PSU.  (Would be very curious to know what his connection to PSU was prior to coming on staff.)

Galen Hall: 8th season as AC. PSU Alum.

Larry Johnson: 15th Season as AC at PSU. Didn't play for or attend PSU.  (Would be very curious to know what his connection to PSU was prior to coming on staff.)

Bill Kenny: 24th season as an AC at PSU. Didn't play for or attend PSU. (Would be very curious to know what his connection to PSU was prior to coming on staff.)

Mike McQueary: 8th season on PSU staff, played at PSU, State College PA is his home town. Think maybe he knew Sandusky when he was younger?

Jay Paterno: Joe's Son, 1990 graduate of PSU, 17 years on staff.

John Thomas: Strength and conditioning coach. 20 Years on staff at PSU. Didn't play for or attend PSU.

Ron Vanderlinden: 11 years on staff at PSU. Linebackers coach. Didn't play for or attend PSU.


Ever seen a major D1 Football program where the junior coaches on staff had been there for 7-9 years?

Ever seen a staff where they had multiple ACs that had been on staff for 20-35 years?

It would appear that when you signed on to coach at PSU under Joe Pa, that's likely the only place you'll ever coach, and if you leave, you'll likely come back.
