Ok-So who does Penn State go after?

Ok-So who does Penn State go after?

Do they try and get a high profile (Myer?  Saban?)  Other names?- or do they get somebody low profile that will suck for a couple of years and then once this has died down go after ????? 

 My thought is If they go after someone high profile now they are going to have to clean house and offer some of the AD duties with the AD job at the end.

No high profile coach will come to the school in the midst of this debacle.  They will be forced to get a shit coach.

Yesterday, I would have said Golden or Schiano...since they have ties to the program.  Today, I would say they don't want anyone that has been within 150 miles of the program in the 329 years Paterno has been there.  I bet they end up with an up-and-coming mid major coach that will have a huge buyout.

I don't understand the people thinking this is a football program issue.  It was about people in the program, and had nothing to do with football.  Yeah, there's some residual stench, but it's not about the football program, and if they truly clean house of all associated with Sandusky, Paterno (and I mean ANYBODY that played for or coached with or for them), and the scandal, I think they're going to recover pretty quickly.  They may need to hire someone to help with image repair.  I think PSU alum, and boosters will welcome a breath of  fresh air, and this job is ripe for a big time coach to come in.

Yeah, the cowboy riding in on his white horse.  I just don't think they can afford to get anyone with any kind of ties whatsoever to Paterno if they want to "repair" the image.

people will want to deal. these people will talk about the football teams cheatin' ways.  it will impact the football program.  i could be just high.

Impeccable image, family man, Pennsylvania hero, might be ready to start coaching again.  Not used to the college recruiting/game, but I guarantee you, if Cowher came by to talk to my son we would be rolling out the welcome mat.
