OK, senior center William Vlachos will not have to strike the “Heisman pose” this December. But he did get a vote last year. While discussing Trent Richardson’s Heisman Trophy chances after Tuesday’s practice, Vlachos casually mentioned that 2009 Heisman winner Mark Ingram put him on his ballot.“Ingram actually voted for me for the Heisman last year,” Vlachos said. “Seriously.”Heisman voters are asked to pick three candidates on their ballot, choosing first, second and third place. Vlachos did not say where he was listed on Ingram’s ballot.Richardson has consistently said he doesn’t think about or obsess over the Heisman Trophy. Vlachos said that is absolutely true.“He’s a team player,” the center said of the star running back. “He brings the same amount of effort whether it’s a passing down and he’s got to go chop a defensive end, or if they're saying, ‘Hey, it’s third-and-1 on the goal line and you’ve got to get the touchdown for us.’“Whatever he’s got to do for our team, he does it. He’s not worried about attention and that type stuff. He’s worried about this team and doing what he’s got to do to help our offense.”
