Anyone else realize that the SEC features another top ten matchup this weekend?

#9South Carolina @#7Arkansas

Huge implications in this game as well.  If LSU wins against Alabama, Arkansas can possibly make the SEC championship game with a victory on November 25th.  South Carolina controls its own destiny with the SEC East, but one loss puts Georgia in the lead.

The reason it is overlooked is because no one knows how USCe has not been losing their ass off since they got rid of party guy. Arky could blow it up, or blow up. So nobody (except my wife) has any intention on watching this game.

Assuming LSU beats Bama, Arkansas beats LSU, and Bama wins the rest of its games...what happens?

Three way tie, and each of the three would have beaten one and lost to the other.

I looked it up, and the team with the highest BCS ranking goes.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SEC_Championship_Game#Two-team_tie-breaker_procedure

That's kind of shitty. Arkansas gets fucked, IMO.

Why would Arky get screwed? If Bama and LSU both has a loss, they would more than likely drop below Arky , who had their loss early and worked their way back up.

But I do not think that any tie-breaker in the SEC should be tied to the BCS. We should have our own method of breaking the tie. I guess they figured that the highest ranked team would have the best chance to reach the BCSCG.

Assuming LSU/Arky and LSU/Bama are close games, Arky SHOULD finish 3rd of the 3. They would be the only team in the round robin to get blown out by one of the other. They would have the ugly loss.

Don't underestimate the power of the computers.  The human voters also would be hard pressed to not put Arkansas way up the polls if they keep winning.  Not due to any rational reasoning but rather the human voters (especially the coaches poll) just move up the winners and drop the losers without thinking about who is the better team.

I could see Arkansas beating South Carolina, Oklahoma beating OK State, and LSU beating Alabama putting Arkansas at least 6th with Alabama 4th.

Arkansas goes on to beat LSU putting the BCS in the hands of the computers, and LSU probably wouldn't drop out of the top five making it an interesting final poll.

Would the computers put Arkansas on top of Alabama since Arkansas beat a #1 team?  If South Carolina wins out, does that put South Carolina in the top 12 giving Arkansas the boost to being on top of Alabama?  Or would Alabama get the boost since their only loss was to LSU and they had a win over Arkansas?

It'll most likely go to Alabama, but also don't forget that Alabama's strength of schedule is ranked 39th right now.  Many are predicting Penn St to lost a few games over the next few weeks, so that will bring it down even more.

Should be interesting, and I must say, I would die laughing if Arkansas got in over Alabama.  The squirming would be epic.

Agree, but all of this hypothetical is pretty unlikely.

Arkansas should have lost to both Ole Miss & Vandy in the last two weeks. Don't see them beating LSU.

Really, who besides us have they looked good against?

I would argue that they didn't look great against us. The score was ugly because of BAD turn overs. I think the best game they have played was against A&M in the second half.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Seriously, the more I've seen them play, the more it pisses me off we fell apart after the first quarter. After I had to stop watching/listening and walk into that goddamn engagement party.

I blame it.

I agree with this as well.

Our defense was doing all it could to keep us in the game.  The offense produced more turnovers and three and outs than positive plays.

We eventually come apart at the hinges and got blown out.
